Save game files

I have just updated to the latest version.

Am I right in assuming that this makes any save game created by: Emulation: Save state: Save state to file: Name of game. No longer work when you upgrade.

I tried keeping the old save in a separate folder and putting it back in but this hasn't worked!

Is there a work around or am I best completing games before an update! (Or maybe keep the old version as well)?

The best way to avoid this issue is to make a regular in-game save before you update Dolphin, since those are compatible across all versions of Dolphin. If that is not possible for some reason, you are stuck with using the older version of Dolphin for that game.

You first save the game (in game) using old save game state and then use new version to save it again ..I am not sure it will work.
