Wondering if a Note 10+ with 955 snapdragon would be enough to play most gamecube games via dolphin on android? Does anyone have this phone that can tell me their experience? Thanks.

You're going to be limited by random GPU driver bugs and inefficiencies we haven't or can't work around before the actual hardware.
Don't buy a phone with Dolphin as the deciding factor. We don't pay nearly enough attention to Android for that to ever lead to a good experience. 09-19-2019, 06:28 AM
Darn. Well thank you for the honest answer! I have an iphone X, contract is up, been wanting to go Android, but will admit, this emulator would be the deciding factor as you allured to. So I guess I'll just stick with this for now. Darn shame iphone is such a pest to make emulators for. At least in the case of Gamecube.
Thanks again for your reply.
Just to complete a little helios's answer. I agree that the purchase of a phone is not done according to dolphin, but I can tell you that you can play a lot of GameCube games on a snapdragon 855. Even on my mate 20 pro it goes really well. From resident evil 4 to splinter cell through metroid prime. So if you want to play GameCube on a smartphone, yes give up your iPhone.
But You don't have to take a phone that expensive for that, unless you can. A 845 is enough. |
