As the title states, I'm using one of those to try and play some of the games I used to play as a kid while I travel, I was hoping the power of the tablet would be great for emulating GC games but it seems to be playing slow and the sound seems to lag or "tick" every so often during the gameplay.

Ok, so I'm new to emulators but I've been working on computers for quite a while and I'm confused as to why a device that has better specs than the GC can't run its emulator just as well or even better?

Ok thanks you, the link explained it really well. Hope that the android version gets so good I'll be able to run GC while I travel.
I own an s3, it played most emulators pretty well. Just not dolphin or n64 games( n64 requires a lot of tlc like special settings for certain games, which makes it run slower at high resolutions). It's ok, most GameCube games run at 50% speed, with audio stretching they don't sound to bad. The emulator crashes a lot, I expect it's a bug with aredeno gpus. I would stick with the nvidia shield tv. It works the best so far.
Oh yeah and you can't use ubershaders with the s3. Still though, I had no idea the s3 could run dolphin in the first place (I didn't know it had a x64 cpu), so it was a nice surprise when I got it home and tried to install it, and it worked. It's still a great tablet overall though, very fast. The only tablet that rivals it is the google pixel c which doesn't have an sd card slot, but does support ubershaders thanks to the nvidia x1 in it. 08-11-2017, 10:56 PM
