S8+ Throttles big time, contrary to other assertions

I have seen posts where some assert the S8 does not throttle, but every games tested on two 835 stock devices all exhibit the same thing, regardless of settings or 5.0 version used. They all play smooth for the first five to ten minutes and then stutter repeatedly. The 8+ does not get very warm, but throttles none the less.

Games tested as example: Mario Kart, Mario Sunshine, Mortal Kombat, Smash Brothers, Soul Calibur 2, Smugglers Run, ATV 2, Hot Pursuit, Burnout Racing 2, FZero, Crash Racing.

They play impressively for the 5 to ten minutes, but that is about it.

Only some earlier versions of Dolphin 5 play Mario Kart without a dark screen, but speed was no better or worse with newer versions.

Would be cool if the throttling did not happen. Also would be cool if the enhancement and hack options were not blank with white screen, since have to test changes using a text editor in the ini file.

Iirc it's software related stuff that you can't (and perhaps shouldn't) mess with without rooting your device.

This is the exact behavior you should expect. Seriously, any videos showing otherwise are misleading.

It's not really a software fault, all the OEMs have DVFS, though some of them have more aggressive ones due to various reasons like device hardware thermals

There is no need to blame DVFS. DVFS is the reason why it is faster in the first minutes, not why it is slower afterwards. Those devices keep care to not destroy themself. DVFS just raises the limits to the critical ranges for a short time, and monitors all conditions.

In some ways Brawl is easier to emulate than Melee.

And Melee is a game people like to test because it's so easy to emulate.

Xiaomi make quality cheap phone with weekly software update, they are quite good choice.
Mi6 have sd 835 with price half of s8. But no headphone jack.
