I suspect your hardware is incompatible.

I didn't realize how old this thread is...I'm assuming there isn't a way to make dolphin work with this controller outside of the stack? Because no matter what I do the Toshiba stack doesn't work. I'll try that Bluesoliel and MS stack see if they work..

Copy that into a notepad and unplug the USB dongle and also make sure to uninstall it with delete software drivers as well. Reinstall Toshiba Stack and when it comes to the screen to plug-in the device go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\Drivers\tosrfusb directory and open the tosrfusb.inf file with notepad. There are three lines where you have to add, 2 which are the same and the last one which gives the bluetooth a name. I attached my .inf file so you can look at it. Once you have done the edit, save it as .inf and All files extension not .Text on another place. Copy the file and overwrite it with the one on that directory from above. Click okay and plug in the USB dongle quickly and voila ! You will have a working Toshiba BT stack for your usb dongle. 02-12-2013, 09:52 AM

Finally got my black wiimote plus RVL-CNT-01-TR to work on Windows 8 x64 Pro. I don't have a bluetooth dongle. This works with my on-board Broadcom Bluetooth.
Here's how... 1 - You'll need to turn off Microsoft auto-detect drivers otherwise, at least for me, no matter how many times I tried to install the Toshiba bluetooth drivers, Windows 8 would install the Microsoft Stack Enumerated anyway. - If you're on your Desktop in Windows 8, go down to the bottom right-hand corner and click on Settings, then - Change PC Settings, General, Advanced start-up, and click on Restart - It will then say "Please Wait" and then it will ask you to Choose an option... - Choose Troubleshoot - Then click on Advanced options - Then click on Start-up Settings - Then click Restart - Wait for it to restart... - Now on this new Startup Settings Screen hit F7 for 'Disable driver signature enforcement' - Then your pc should reboot so then go ahead and login 2 - Now go into device manager, check your hardware id of your bluetooth and copy it down - This is where Sukid's method will come in from page 22 of this thread... - Go to control panel, device manager, and click on bluetooth radios. Right click the listed device (ignore the enumerator one), click properties, go to the details tab, and select Hardware ID. It should list something like... USB\VID_0A5C&PID_2148&REV_0818 USB\VID_0A5C&PID_2148 The second number is what you want. Copy that down in notepad. 3 - Once you have copied down your bluetooth's Hardware ID, Right-click and Uninstall your bluetooth from Device Manager 4 - Download Toshiba 9.10 Bluetooth Stack drivers... - I downloaded mine from http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/...38&pf=true - Make sure you extract the files to a new folder that you should make on your Desktop otherwise the files will be extracted to some buried temp directory 5 - Install the Toshiba drivers 6 - The driver installation will fail, when it does do the switcheroo of the tosfusb.inf by adding in your bluetooth's hardware id using Sukid's method below... - Once you get the message to plug in your bluetooth device, open windows explorer and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\Drivers\tosrfusb\ Do not close the installer, just leave it where it is. - Copy tosfrusb.inf (or the one described as "system information") into a different folder. You can't edit it directly where it is. Then open the copied one in notepad and add your hardware ID to it. You'll see two lists that start with "%TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc1%=TosrfUsb_Device". The % number increases depending on how many are on the list, ending at 149. They have device IDs next to them. Add your device Id to the bottom of each one, like so: %TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc150%=TosrfUsb_Device, USB\VID_0A5C&PID_2148 At the very bottom of the file is a place for the device description. Name it whatever you want, though preferrably the actual name of the device. Example: TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc150 = "IOGEAR USB 2.1 Bluetooth Micro Adapter (GBU421)" Save changes, then copy the modified tosfrusb.inf back into the original folder. Then plug in your bluetooth device and finally click ok on the installer message. Everything should install as planned and then you will be asked to restart. Do so and everything will be successfully installed. 7 - It will finally actually install (Even if you have an onboard bluetooth, the steps still apply albeit you don't have to unplug and plug back in your dongle) 8 - Restart you pc 9 - Finally follow next guide to get it connected (can't find the credited author right now but he posted in this thread as well on the 40s pages or so) Here's the author's quote in italics below which worked for me 100%... I finally got a full proof way of having a WII mote connect to the dongle with Toshiba now. I see some people had trouble with the A method, as I did too. Because if the WII mote gets new batteries or turns off without a good disconnect you will get that error "The connection has been reset" while trying the A button method. For some reason this fixed it: 1. First connect the WII mote normally but pressing 1+2 and let Toshiba detect it and connect then disconnect. 2. Then this is the part which makes no sense to me, but works miraculously. Press 1+2 Again but DO NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE. Let the WII MOTE blink, until it times out (stops blinking.) 3. THEN click connect in the Toshiba settings, when it says looking for device PRESS A or + or Z it doesn't matter, just get the thing to blink. (Just don't hit 1+2 or the Sync button, this resets the sync info.) It will then connect. And you can click refresh or whatever in dolphin and it will be online. From this point forward if you safely disconnect the WII mote, you can use the A method connect now every time to sync the same mote. If you accidentally delete the device information or change the batteries, you must restart the TIMEOUT method. I do not know WHY the timeout method works, there must be a reason for this. But this works for me EVERY single time. IT took me hours of playing around trying different things just to try to figure this out. That's all folks... After writing all this, I hope I didn't leave a step out, if I do, I apologize. I really hope this helps some people... It took me hours to figure this out because I'm awesome :-( so I hope you this will help you avoid all that, especially if you're running the latest Dolphin on Windows 8 Pro x64. Zelda Skyward Sword works amazing now with the wiimote plus... I don't have a sensor bar either so thanks to all the people that suggested to light 2 candles about 8 inches apart to get the game work... Brilliant!!! Works like a charm! PS - The Toshiba Bluetooth Stack when used on unsupported adapters, has a 30 days evaluation period. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack should restart the evaluation period, or just look for a crack... 02-17-2013, 01:28 PM
After I did all the steps on the installation of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack thing successfully I have a problem getting the Wii controller installed. Here's what I'm doing...and no matter how many times I try, I always get the same result.
I go to the bluetooth icon on system tray and right click it. Hit "Add a new connection" and the program starts searching for devices. I press the 1+2 buttons on the Wii remote, all lights start flashing. The bluetooth select device window shows "RVL-CNT-01-TR" under Bluetooth Device Name. I hit the "Next" button. New window that says "Now connecting to your bluetooth device" and some other things about if I need to enter a PIC that a window will pop up to enter it. Afer a few seconds I get "Detection of service failed" When I hit "Ok" it sends me back to the "Select a device" window. Anyone having this problem? or knows how to fix it....I'm going insane over here!! EDIT: Nevermind, I guess the computer needed a second reboot. After I did the reboot, it worked like a charm!!
I am having trouble getting the Toshiba Stack bluetooth hack to work. Here are my steps:
I currently have a working on board bluetooth (confirmed working with my phone, mobo is a P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3) I go to the device manager > Hardware IDs > copy down USB\VID_0B05&PID_179C Right Click it > Uninstall > tick delete driver software Reboot I double click the x64 version of the Toshiba BT Stack Copy the tosrfusb.inf, edit in %TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc201%=TosrfUsb_Device, USB\VID_0B05&PID_179C in the two places, and TosrfUsb.DeviceDesc201 = "OnBoard BlueTooth" at the very end. Paste the edited file back when the installer tells me to insert my bluetooth device Press OK It then keeps asking me to insert my bluetooth device. :'( What am I doing wrong? I have been trying this for hours, but can't seem to figure it out. If somebody wants to TeamViewer into my computer, send me a PM and I'd be very greatfull. I'll keep trying until then, but I am not overly confident. EDIT And after all of that, I think I got it. The name I gave the edited file now comes up in my device manager, but I think the installer froze before it could complete. I am going to leave it for the time being, and if not, do my EXACT steps above (writing out the process helped immensely). Will report back. EDIT2 I got it working. Whenever I tried to uninstall the existing bluetooth drivers, W7 would install them again automatically even if disconnected from the internet. Follow these steps if you are having trouble with W7: Use FishSticks instructions, except for step 1 do this instead: start>gpedit.msc>Computer Config>Admin>System>Device Installation>Restrictions>Prevent installation of devices not desxcribed by other polict settins>enabled>reboot. then install the toshiba, and when it asks you to plug in your dongle, paste over your edited .inf file. press ok then go back to gpedit.msc and set the policy back to not configured. I am in a rush (spent way too much time messing around with this) so I hope that makes sense. If you are having trouble PM me. 02-21-2013, 02:56 AM
Hey all~ I just want to make sure of something. I stupidly brought a new wiimote motion plus controller (the -TR kind) and a Medialink 4.0 bluetooth adapter thinking it would work with no problems. I should have researched first.
Anyways, my PC connects the device fine and it shows up in the "Devices" (lights quit linking though). But it won't show up at all in Dolphin (I've tried several versions). This is normal, right? I have to do the um.. Toshiba hack thing? And that works with any bluetooth device as long as I edit the ini file or something? Thanks for any help~ :3 (i have windows 7 64 bit btw) EDIT: Nevermind, thanks to everyone on this page, I got my TR wiimote working using the Toshiba thing! Is it normal for the controller to disconnect randomly and require me to resync it using the toshiba? After like 45mins of playing/messing around with Skyward Sword, the controller went off (lights went off as well). Then I re-connected the wiimote using the toshiba program and it worked in SS (I had alt-tabbed to fix it). The lights were still not on, but the wiimote worked fine in game. Is this normal for Dolphin? I think I remember reading that it randomly disconnected wiimotes atm. 02-21-2013, 09:59 AM

That'll (for some reason) keep it connected. |
