yeah now that the issue has been going on for months, and i found out after buying all of the equipment i need to play, i will start working on this. i need to learn c++ though so i can't work on this for a bit, but i promise, this will be worked on. i just hope i am not going to be a lone developer if i work on this. i hope others work on this too.

it's too bad i don't have a wii because if i did, i would set up a sniffer to listen to the data going back and fourth between the new wii remote and wii.

if iam not totally wrong the problem lies here
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wiimote#0x20:_Status
http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=18867

i looked a few months ago into the whole problem,
but gosh i forgot about it and was to lazy setting up the compiler

the emulated wiimotes are responding to the wiimote status commands... i couldnt find the realWiimote Counterpart
jeah but the developer are just saying everything is fine... with "original" wiimotes... nothing to do here... neither if its a false implementation of the protoctol
EDIT by neobrain: that pic was kinda annoying..
EDIT by dannzen: don't fuck with my sig Dodgy
EDIT by neobrain: yet, I will keep doing it Tongue

I got mine to work, after just buying a black wiimote+ (RVL-CNT-01-TR). I did not have success pairing via MS built in software (I have Win7 Pro x64). My BT adapter is "Zoom Bluetooth USB Model 4322". My roommate had this laying around, so I cannot say where you could get this. Anyway, Dolphin is 3.0-735, and I'm using the ICC optimized (SSE4.2) by vlakipn. So here's what I did:

1) Downloaded Toshiba Bluetooth stack v8.00.03. I installed the x64 bit obviously. I then restarted pc.

2) Toshiba stack was autoloaded by PC at boot, and I did "Add new connection"

3) it automatically started scanning for devices but I was not ready, so it ended up timing out and going back to the main screen, where it's just the little box and "New Connection" button

4) Popped out battery of wiimote, put back in

5) Press "New Connection"

6) when it says express or manual, I chose Express

7) The wizard says Scanning for devices

8) Press 1+2

9) it found the controller and now it has it in the main window, above "New Connection" button

10) almost done! Now you have to double click the "Nintendo RVL...etc" device and it will say "prepare the device and press OK"

11) Press OK then another window will say like "connecting to device"

12) Now press A. remember, this is the trick of these new wiimotes it seems. Use 1+2 only the first time when you originally pair the device with your pc (or after you have deleted it). And then only use A to pair from then on, once it has seen it.

13) you will know it works because no lights come on the wii mote after pressing buttons.

14) Start Dolphin

15) press the "Wiimote" configuration button

16) it should vibrate if the menu is already set to "Real Wiimote" beforehand.

Thats it! It sounds long, but it's a very fast process. I hope this helps newbies (like me) who have spend hours googling and reading 100s of posts on how to get these darn new wiimotes to work xD

I am getting the impression (perhaps misguided) from these posts, that the issue lies in the BT adapter, and whether it recognizes the wiimote+ or not.

part of the trick i found was when people are having the problem of it unregistering itself from the windows bluetooth stack. if you press 1 and 2 after it recognizes it as bluetooth perhipheral device and then it should detect the bluetooth compliant hid without removing the remote from the stack. but i am attempting to try this because i was actually going to try to program support for the new wiimotes in a bit but i am failing to get this to work, i am getting to the part when the lgiths stop working (i actually accidentally came across the trick while just pressing the 1 and 2 after the perhipheral device was found so i could test if that was actually the trick and pressed z at the same time and the light stop working so i thought maybe this means it was detected!) but i need to know if there's any special support for this or the toshiba stack because regular dolphin builds don't allow anything but the windows stack. i may get this working after i post this but i need to know before i get into programming.

now what i was thinking after seeing some of the other posts on different threads about the different data being sent by the new wiimotes, like the product id, i thought you need to program it into dolphin so it knows what to expect from the wiimote and all of that and i didn't think anybody did it yet if there are still problems so i was thinking everybody who claims to have gotten it working are mistaken and thinking they're using a new wiimote when they're still using the old and compatible ones.

I'm using the limited edition Zelda wiimote with dolphin just fine. All I do is:

1) Make sure automatic driver updates are off (stops Microsoft from looking for a driver for the remote, thus increasing the likelihood of connection)
2) Press "Pair Up" and hold the 1&2 buttons (it might not work the first time; make sure that the window is "not responding" to ensure its connection)
3) Either you are good to go, or maybe you need to hit refresh.

I just use the default Microsoft stack and an adapter I got from Frys that works very well with multiple wiimotes, both motion plus and regular

Get a standard wiimote with the motion plus addon, it may be the only guaranteed way to get it working. I returned my built-in controller, and did it this way too, now I can play Skyward Sword, etc.

Found a Fix.

After reading everything, and not success, since couldn't make Toshiba Bluetooth Stack works with my BT device. found out that there is a 9.0 version (Google for it)

Installed it, no issues, restarted, the program with autorun, just cancel, and Add New connection, Press 1 and 2 so it finds the Wiimote, it will install, after it appears in the windows, right click and connect, Press A on the wiimote(lights will blink), then OK in the windows, it will connect,

Open Dolphin, Go to Wiimote Option, and set it to use Real Wiimote, and it should vibrate. and everything works nice.
