Because if the WII mote gets new batteries or turns off without a good disconnect you will get that error "The connection has been reset" while trying the A button method.

For some reason this fixed it:

1. First connect the WII mote normally but pressing 1+2 and let Toshiba detect it and connect then disconnect.

2. Then this is the part which makes no sense to me, but works miraculously. Press 1+2 Again but DO NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE. Let the WII MOTE blink, until it times out (stops blinking.)

3. THEN click connect in the Toshiba settings, when it says looking for device PRESS A or + or Z it doesn't matter, just get the thing to blink. (Just don't hit 1+2 or the Sync button, this resets the sync info.)

It will then connect. And you can click refresh or whatever in dolphin and it will be online.

From this point forward if you safely disconnect the WII mote, you can use the A method connect now every time to sync the same mote. If you accidentally delete the device information or change the batteries, you must restart the TIMEOUT method.

I do not know WHY the timeout method works, there must be a reason for this. But this works for me EVERY single time. IT took me hours of playing around trying different things just to try to figure this out.

After so many hours of research, this post saved my life. Thanks a lot !!!

Hello, I must ask if the internal ASUS Bluetooth (Atheros Manufacturer) in ATX size has a chance to get included to work with this.

I am asking because toshiba bluetooth/bluesoleil ain't that common in Sweden according to my highly subjective searches.

I'd like to help by giving information about it if there is someone willing to help us using this card. Smile

1) When I try to connect it through Toshiba BT Stack, it recognizes it.
2) When the Toshiba BT Stack attempts to finalize the registration process, the flashing lights on the Wii Remote stop flashing.
3) Appears that the Wii Remote interrupts the connection

My BT dongle does work (AZIO v. 201) as I have used it before to connect to my old wii remote that just died.

Please tell me that someone can solve this as I want to play Skyward Sword! lol

Hi,

I bought a genuine wiimote (motion plus inside) to work with Dolphin before i read any topics in the forum. I guess I was lucky that it was a Nintendo RVL-CNT-01, so no issues with that one.

Then I bought a second and it was a
Nintendo RVL-CNT-01-TR. By now I have tried 15 different TR's.
What I found is that those by pressing B-button let blink the leds, are working with Dolphin.

To make the connection with BT, instead of pushing 1+2 or the connection button on the back, push the B-button, connect it trough Toshiba Stack or Bluesoleil ( the leds will go out, but it is connected) open Dolphin, use the real wiimote settings, the dedicated led will light up and enjoy your gaming.

I hope this post is of some help for some people.

I wonder if there is someone who could tell me how i get bluesoleil or toshiba drivers to work with my bluetooth. My system has a AR3011 Atheros chip internally on the motherboard, and I can get a connection with the standard drivers although without any input.

Edit:

Got it working somewhat but I get random BSOD with 0x00000F4. Meh :'(

I don't have any problems with that model to be honest.

1. make sure your controller is connected in the BT toshiba stack.
2. start dolphin
3. go to wii mote
4. set it to real wiimote
5. press the refresh button

DO NOT PRESS PAIR UP OR IT DOES NOT WORK !
Also each time I boot my pc I need to press the sync button on the wiimote in order to sync it with the toshiba BT stack!
Then repeat step 1 to 5 this is the only fix at the moment !

I couldn't fix it with microsoft so had to go to the toshiba one ( running win 7 x64) controller wouldn't pair up in windows so I gave up on that one works now though.
