Sorry for double post, cant edit old ones.
I guess I can confirm that the Toshiba Stack does not work in any way, shape or form with the Asus USB-BT211 Mini Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR dongle. I've tried over a dozen times with editing the hardware id's, but it just asks me to plug in the bluetooth device.

Are the drivers that came with the dongle installed?

I just found your old post. Installed the Asus drivers. Toshiba Stack installed fine over the top. NOW, Toshiba Stack is telling me the Bluetooth is not ready. And disabling and enabling it doesnt seem to fix it.
I really wish I could edit or delete posts. But somehow I got it working. I guess I just needed to replug it in.

I can confirm the Xoppa method works for me, but I had some trouble during the installation, and had to do it a few times.

I had to manually replace the "tosrfusb.inf" in the folder in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\tosrfusb.inf_amd64_neutral_a7e2c0844febac88. Windows would not let me change or delete any items in the FileRepository. I got around that by using Ubuntu trial OS setup with their bootable disc (free).

I also replace the modified "tosrfusb.inf" in any additional/temporary folders it may be lingering in before the install (just search HDD).

After all that, the Toshiba Stack install worked for me. Maybe it will help someone else.

You HAVE to use Toshiba Stack. There is a guide earlier in the thread.

I don't think you read the post. No one is saying that we don't have to use the toshiba stack, but we are having problems installing it with our internal bluetooth adapters. If you read the guide earlier in the thread it doesn't describe how to do it for our cases.

i installed toshiba on my integrated bluetooth adapter without problems with that guide..
just modify the file and insert your hardware id
uninstall the bluetooth device in "device list"
and press ok
AND ONE THING
DEINSTALL MOTIONJOY
and DEINSTALL THE motionJoy device in the "device list"
MotionJoy hijacks the bluetooth and makes it invisible to other programms...
EDIT by neobrain: that pic was kinda annoying..
EDIT by dannzen: don't fuck with my sig Dodgy
