I have a laptop with internal BT and Win10, trying to get a Wii Motion Plus working in pass through mode. I having a rough time getting this working, though it seems like it should be pretty straight forward. I am running Dolphin 5.0-10472. When I emulate a game, I get the following two warnings/errors, then emulation is aborted. Doesn't seem to matter what I do, controller just flashes the 4 bottom lights when I try to sync. My laptop can see the controller, as I can view it in Devices and Printers if I select add a device. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

1. Failed to open Bluetooth device: LIBUSB_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED

2. Bluetooth passthrough mode is enabled, but no usable Bluetooth USB device was found. Aborting.

It doesn't look like you have the right driver (or your bluetooth module may not be playing well with it). Have you installed libusbK via Zadig? If not, see these instructions: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Bluetooth_Passthrough

As an aside, you shouldn't need to mess around with devices and printers, since Dolphin has its own syncing for this.

Ok, so I am trying to install libusbK, but I don't see the remote in the drop down list. I don't see any more info in the link you have posted. Is there something I need to do to get it to show up?

In the "Options" drop down at the top, click "List all devices". This should cause your bluetooth module to appear.

Ok. Got it installed. Start emulating a game, and no error messages. Now I press sync on the controller and sync in the controller options, but nothing but 4 blinking lights on my controller and seems to not connect. libusk definitely shows as installed now in the tool.

After a bit more time, I rebooted my laptop, reset saved connections, and then was able to sync my controller! Thanks for the help!

Now, I have the controller working, but no pointing.... I'm guessing because I would need to buy a bar?

Yes, you need a sensor bar. (Don't buy the DolphinBar if you already have a working Bluetooth setup with passthrough, buy a normal sensor bar.)

Thanks for the advice. I actually have a sensor bar for the Wii, but no way to connect it to my laptop. What should I be looking for for dolphin compatibility?

They're all Dolphin compatible. You can even use the official Wii one with Dolphin by having it connected to your Wii while you're using Dolphin.

Very interesting. Thanks! I pulled my Wii over with the sensor bar and it works, but is a bit laggy. I'll probably need to play around with positioning a bit.
