Both times that I have ran Dolphin moderately for a day as of late (code hunting/animation and action mods for Wario World then SMS) are also both consecutive times the day after running it that I have ran into the issue of getting stuck on a black screen when starting up my laptop which is on Fall Creators Update.
(will post a few codes in my thread soon to show what I put together)

First time was a cruel nightmare of searching for a safe fix while the second time I knew what crap I was having to put up with and simply held the power button down for 30 seconds to force a shutdown after letting run for a couple minutes.

Has anyone else ran into this issue of that bug recently as the next boot sequence after running Dolphin?

In case it matters a lot,I have been using the D3D11 backend since it seems to be a little faster.
Any suggestions of what the current best Dolphin build is to use for potentially better stability?

Sounds more like a problem with Windows. Go to teh Power Options and see if you have Fast Boot enabled. If so, turn it off because its terrible.

I had a similar issue, this time when locking the PC or waking it from hibernation. It was due to the "beta functionalities" enabled in GeForce Experience. So make sure to disable it as well, if it's enabled...

My problem is most likely FCU and fast startup but I normally keep it enabled to avoid the demonic noises on every shutdown since it can instantly turn off fairly quickly.

Though, one feature I enabled was to flush the page file for security and stability,so the noises would likely be my own fault, but it started taking longer to do and sounds worse now since some updates where before then it didn't take as long and only sounded a little bad when clearing the page file.
