Running a TwitchPlays using Dolphin but can't get input to work? Dolphin 5.0

Hello, I am trying to run a fun Twitch Plays channel

https://www.twitch.tv/twitchplays_ocarinaoftime

I wanted my stream to play wind waker because they already played ocarina of time and majoras mask. However for some reason the robot I made to actually convert twitch chat to commands isn't working for Dolphin, and I don't know why..

I know there's a "..." button inside a controller profile that allows you to test input. When I use my bot to test input in the large text box, it does add the character spoken, but it doesn't "trigger" on the list of command list. If it triggers, the list shows a "1" for a split second before reverting to "0" to show a press, but for some reason my bot does not want to trigger it, but still adds the character to the text box... Any suggestions on how I can get Dolphin to interpret commands from my robot? It seems to work just fine on other emulators but Dolphin doesn't seem to recognize anything submitted. Help?

Thank you! Smile

So there isn't that much information for us to use to help you with this. Like, we don't know what version of Dolphin you are using, we don't know how you are interfacing with Dolphin (what device and what not), you aren't showing us any pics of the config, etc etc. So there isn't much for me to say.

If I had to guess from what little is present here, you probably need to double check the devices for your inputs. But yea, please give more details!

In the title it says I'm using version 5.0.
Essentially I made a robot coded in C# that emulates key presses, but dolphin does not recognize these inputs.
I opened the debug window to show what commands are being pressed during an emulation. However whatever I do no input comes through. The way it displays the input inside the input config (the window inside controller settings where you can type stuff in the text box and it shows on a long list what inputs it triggers) but when my bot performs an input it's almost like it Appends the text to the text box but doesn't trigger anything. Not sure why.

Dolphin uses DirectInput for keyboard input on Windows. Your simulated key presses are probably sent as window events and are not seen by DirectInput.
