Rune Factory ToD Wiimote and Save State issues related?

I'm hoping I'm putting this in the correct area but here goes.

I've been playing Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny for some time now and there is the well known bug of native saves not working so I have been using save states. However when I load a save state sometimes it will not recognize the wiimote I have connected (the Dolphin still says its there) and I have to restart the Dolphin. I have been dealing this without much complaint as I love the game and don't mind it that much but recently I can't get any of the save states to detect my wiimote and now I am stuck unable to do anything. I'd rather not lose the save states as I have no saves that are remotely close to the progess due to the bug. I have already tried re downloading the 3.0 64bit version I use and transfering my save states and it worked once but any previous times to no avail. I'm not familiar enough with all the settings on Dolphin to have the balls to change them and mess around with it.

If anyone has any intuition, I'm desperate to not lose the save state.

I would give you a screenshot but it shows literally nothing that may be of help.

Since you don't seem to like changing settings by yourself I assume the settings are default. I don't think they would make much of a difference anyway.

I believe under Wiimote Config there is an option to prevent it fr reconnecting remotes on loading a state. Try changing that setting. If that doesn't work, try manually changing the Wiimote 1 to nothing and then changing it back again. If that doesn't work try turning off the remote (pressing the power button I believe works, if it doesn't remove the batteries). If that doesn't work I don't think there is anything you can do. Save states have bugs in Dolphin so it sucks but it might come down to either starting over or trying an emulated Wiimote.

I have tried all of those I even tried to emulate a wiimote but the game freaks out if there is no nun-chuck attached. Is there a way to emulate a nunchuck?

Go to your Wiimote config, and look for a part that says Extension, and set it to Nunchuck. You'll need to configure the actual nunchuck buttons afterwards.

The game seems to act as if the controller is connected. I tried to use the connect/disconnect hotkey and that didn't change my farthest save state but it did cause a different one to work. I just would rather not lose the progress you know?

I want to thank you guys for the input. I tried the method that worked last time again and it still didn't work so I got so frustrated I slammed my keyboard and low and behold it gave me the connect a controller message and I was able to get the controller connected again. I must either have luck or someone pities me.
