3rd party wiimotes don't usually work in dolphin.

It's worth noting that this is purely a Windows limitation, and that they do work under Linux or in Bluetooth passthrough mode.

The question was if they are a better choice, not if they're worth buying. To expand on my answer: Not necessarily, since both work just fine.

The best is still to buy a new original Wii Remote that's pretty much guaranteed to work.

I thought the question was if they're a better choice than third-party Wii Remotes? In that case, the answer is yes (as long as they're official).
