Known Issues

- Slow menus, depending on what it's showing [NTSC/PAL]
- Cannot create a save game [NTSC/PAL]

- Black band members using EFB to Texture [NTSC/PAL]

- Graphical corruption using EFB to RAM, but fixes band members. It's inconsistant, some camera angles don't show corruption, others do, also seems dependent on the location of the gig. [NTSC/PAL]

PLAYABLE

Being a rythm game, not having a constant 60fps makes this emulation not perfect, yet. The stuttering from the jumpy frames can be distracting and be hard on the eyes. Then again, if you mess around with lower resolutions you may have a constant 60 frames. Or this may not bother you as much. PAL version is not an option since 50 frames per second results in a stuttering frame rate too, but a constant stuttering which makes it worse.

Even if you don't take into account what I said above, there are graphical glitches, and I can't find a way to save the game.

Audio is perfect.

Edit: Start searching for those fixes, I'll update the thread if you find anything. I'd love to be able to save the game and create a band.

you are wrong, audio is far from perfect, those looping sounds make it unplayable

I've been playing the game for the last few days and I've just said the audio is perfect. Take a guess on who is right here.

Yeah i just tried out the game, it works nicely during songs. shaky screen (and a lot of lag) but calibrate and learn to ignore that shaking and its still very playable, i get 60fps with an occasional drop but usually not noticeable. Using my ps3 RB2 guitar with it and works fine (whammy bar wasnt working when i tried but i might not have it set up correctly.)

edit: nvm got the whammy working fine now.

I couldn't assign my 360 whammy in the Guitar extension configuration. Every button works but when I move my whammy around it doesn't assign it. Did you do anything special?

Ah... Well I did try without that option turned off, but I tried a buttload of configurations, including one that had Emulate Format Changes on, and I just forgot to turn it off again. I was pretty tired and just wanted to go to bed. I have it off right now and it's the same errors. Thanks for pointing it out though.

What I'd really love is a save game...

in the wiimote config do you have the controller as your mouse and keyboard? when i have the wiimote controller as mouse and keyboard selcted all buttons work except whammy. i have to change it so that its the ps3 guitar. then when i go in config for guitar extension the whammy will work.

if that doesnt work open your game control properties in windows and make sure your pc is actually reading that the whammy bar is being hit when you push it. If its not then im not quite sure what to do after that, you might have to find a better driver for windows so that it has all functionailty

edit: as for saving a game, i remember hearing that some games that cant save just require a saved game file to be placed in the correct directory in dolphin. maybe its possible to grab a saved game file from a wii? ( i dont have a wii so im kind of out of luck unless they got game saves uploaded online somewhere

edit 2: found this post. http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=374&highlight=game+save now we just need someone to get a game save from their wii rb3 and maybe it will work
