Ripping GC games without Wii

I have the newer version of a Wii (but not WiiU) that unfortunately does not read or even accept gamecube games. Has anyone figured out a workaround for getting the files for PC? According to the list found https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-howto-dump-wii-or-gamecube-games-with-pc-no-wii-needed I don't have a compatible DVD drive to read and rip directly. Help!

A wii that reads GC games is your best bet.

The only solution is to spend more money. You must either buy an old Wii or buy one of the PC DVD-ROM drives that works with Friidump and Rawdump.

Thanks for the help! May be able to scavenge one from family so money hopefully won't be too much an issue.
