After seeing in what state Rhythm Heaven Fever is on HD screens i thought to upscale the graphics so they look nice and crisp. If anyone sees something not upscaled/looking bad please report it here in the thread so i can fix them. You would be even more of a help if you could dump the textures and send it to me! Anyways, these aren't the final textures and they will be changed for the better once i get more time on my hand but until then, enjoy!

Changelog

28.06.2016 - v1.01 Released!
26.12.2015 - v1.0 Released!

As i said before, the textures aren't final and the things that will be changed are:
-Better shadows on textures (Like the medal icons)
-Better upscale for some badly upscaled textures (There are some that i'm not satisfied with)
-AA will be added to textures

-Textures for the EUR version (Read BELOW regarding that)

[IF YOU SEE SOMETHING NOT UPSCALED PLEASE REPORT IT]

So far the texture are for the USA version but they work with the EUR version too, just change the USA ID to the EUR one.

Those aren't final? Wow. Coulda fooled me!

Looks great so far!

Since it's only textures, I'm sure Ko Takeuchi would love to see his work given such loving care in upscaling!

His art sure looks great! Its simple and looks good, would love to draw and be original at the same time.
And yeah, there are couple of things that i need to upscale right. Like Ninja Slice, once upscaled it looked like milk but we don't want it to look smooth, we want it slick (or i want it lol).

Hey, this is great! This is pretty much my favorite Wii game and I didn't expect it to get some of that sweet HD lovin'.
Unfortunately, I can only check these out in a week or so. Looking forward to it, though Big Grin

One of my fav too!
And about the new update, i'm having some issues cleaning the rough edges of the pics so that's gonna take a while.
And the textures work with the EUR version too, just change the folder name to SOMP01 and load it. Some of the textures won't be upscaled like the logo of the EUR version(obvious reason) but other than that everything else works.

Cleaning the rough edges? Usually, HD texture projects trace over the original textures.

Still, I like how this looks so far! Rhythm Heaven Fever is one of my favorite games for the original Wii, and one of the few that I can play on Dolphin, since it doesn't require motion control. (I don't have the equipment needed to use motion sensing on my computer)
Was gonna call my friends and get 'em all together
I was gonna go and start a band
But everything I wanna do, it's already been done
Why would I wanna go and do it again?

I just got around to test these and was surprised that you seem to have already got everything :o
The difference is easy to see, looks real slick now ^_^
The only thing I noticed were exactly those rough edges and shadows (on medals) you talked about. Even with that though, this is an easy recommendation for everyone Smile

Now I noticed a few hiccups. They're really tiny but in a game where timing is everything it can make a difference.
They always appear in the same spots (like on the main menu just before the girl pops up or in Double Date just after kicking the (American) football). I've got a fast machine including an SSD, so I guess it's because of some textures being too large to fit into the bandwidth the GPU offers. Anyway, converting the textures to DDS format fixes this issue with pretty much no loss in quality (actually, those rough edges might actually profit if anything).
But I can just convert them myself; just saying maybe you might want to offer packs in both formats when you're all done Smile

Ahh yes, the DDS format makes textures load faster iirc?
Never played around DDS so i have no clue about them. Its gonna take some time to read about them and see how to convert to them. Thanks for the input thou (and yes i already knew about the hiccups, i had them everywhere in game especially in Remixes. Loading textures to RAM fixed it)
