I saw one of these controller at Micro Center just yesterday! Hahaha...I even thought to pick one up just to check it out with Dolphin. Glad I decided against it!

The Solution to the C-Stick problem is to reorenient the Z and Rz axis on the controller properties. On windows after installing the driver with the disk go to Control panel; Hardware and Sound; Devices and Printers; Select Generic USB Controller and right click go to Game Controller Settings and click Properties. Go to the Calibration function tab and calibrate the Z axis to 127 and click set.
I have not tested this on Dolphin but it works for Joystick Mod for minecraft.

Need for Speed games.

EDIT: or practically any car racing game, aside from Mario Kart or F-Zero GX, but even F-Zero GX takes advantage of it in a different way.

[color=#000000]Would a cirka gamecube controller work good with dolphin? I need the R L buttons but can't afford namebrand GC controller.

I've discovered a bit of a workaround that works well enough for me, though it's less than ideal.

For whatever reason, it seems that actually starting up the game 'deactivates' this particular controller, so after starting the game, I pause/minimize it, go back to controller preferences, re-select the controller from the list and click okay. You'll know the controller's 'active' if the little dots in the stick fields are red, rather than grey.

After doing this, I can resume the paused game and it works well enough. I haven't tested the 'analogue' nature of the shoulder buttons, though I can only assume they still don't work as they should. Whatever. Works well enough for Smash which is all I need.

For the record, I'm on Arch Linux, x86_64, using version 5.0 of the emulator.

I think the rumble test button is broken for some reason.

Try setting it anyways and seeing if it works in game.

I have a retrolink controller and had trouble in the beginning until I found the following Driver:
Do a search for "USB Network Joystick Driver 3.70a"

This works well for me.  It says it is compatible for Android and Windows.
