Just figured I would  Post my problem here maybe someone has an idea of something I can Try.

Was playing Twilight Princess the other day, with my new RetroLink controller, its been solid for about 40 hours of gameplay.
Than it started cutting out, I was getting a USb device malfunctioned message on the taskbar, it would come up, go away, controller would still work, then become unresponsive for 30 seconds than start again. Anyways I was able to finish the dungeon I was on and saved it.

Went to go play again today, and now every time i plug the controller to the laptop, i get that code 43 Usb descriptor failed error.

I have tried everything I can find so far online for advice.
Tried taking the battery out of the laptop and holding the power button .Removing from device manager, and re installing and rebooting and every combination of the sort.  Even found this Usb Review tool that lists every usb device ever connected, wiped em all incase of a usb cache or driver conflict, rebooted, still didn't change anything. My wireless mouse works on every usb port so its stictly a problem with the controller or some other setting i can't seem to find.

The weird thing is, before i uninstalled Dolphin I plugged in the controller got the code 43 error in windows,  went to calibrate the controller, but while it was listed with an error in device manager, it was still being picked up by the calibration or configure screen in dolphin lol which i thought was weird, but wouldn't work in any other emulator...

Just wondering if there are any other controller fiiles for dolphin  or reg entries that i could try removing completely, that dolphin may have installed which wouldn't have been deleted after un installing?
I can't help but think its some sort of issue some what related to Dolphin....not to point fingers i just can't see the controller crapping out randomly like that out of no where but i could be wrong...

I just don't have another computer to test the controller on either...

No. The only thing that might have been left is the configuration in the global user directory (default on windows is C:\[username]\Documents\Dolphin Emulator). You can easily test around that by placing a portable.txt file in the directory with dolphin's exe to make it portable.
