I just got a Retrolink Gamecube controller to use for Dolphin, but it isn't showing up as a possible input device in the GCPad configuration menu. I have tried installing, uninstalling, and reinstalling the drivers by both letting the drivers install automatically and by using the disk that the controller came with. My configuration is set up for standard controller. It isn't a trouble with mapping the buttons, because the only available device is keyboard and mouse. The problem has been consistent with Dolphin 4.0 and 4.0.2
Retrolink Gamecube Controller Not Showing

Oh god I'm so sick of these things. Those retrolink controllers are awful. My condolences. Please be aware that even after you get it set up, the C stick will probably not work left to right and L and R analog definitely will not work. I'm not entirely sure on everything yet, but one thing is clear - the controller is poorly designed.
Anyway, as for you problem, it should be showing up. Can you give us more information? Show us your GCpad config window or something? EDIT: In an issue report, a user described a problem similar to what you said here. He uninstalled and reinstalled the controller and it worked. Try that. Thank your for such a fast reply and I looked at a lot of other posts about the Retrolink controller. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
So it's working now? The picture you showed shows a USB gamepad, and buttons are configured...

ChrisTofu42, can you find the device in the device manager or in Start Menu > Devices and Printers? Show screen shots of those and any details or properties pans that come up from them please. This is a weird bug and we need as much information as possible.

The items I have selected are the devices that show up when I have to retrolink controller. The gamepad displayed is from the gamecube to pc adapter. None of the selected items related to the retrolink controller show up in the devices in Dolphin. The only things that show up in dolphin are my keyboard and real nintendo gamecube controller when I have the adapter plugged in. 06-08-2014, 01:42 PM
You didn't give me all that I asked for. Device manager? Property windows of those things? Come on...
I should ask, does it work in any other emulators? OH, this one is important. In Devices and Printers, right click on the USB Gamepad, and click "Game controller settings". Take a screenshot of that and paste it here. Every Dinput device should be in there.
