Not sure how difficult or not-so-difficult it is to "port" Dolphin into Retroarch as its own core, but I'm wondering if anyone out there with some programming chops is up to the task?  Or, if someone is already has it cored, maybe you can point towards yonder?

Dolphin's x86_64 recompiler can't physically support being run from a shared library. Which considering x86_64 is Dolphin's main architecture, it's pretty much a show stopper.
There have been some efforts towards both this PIE support and retro support, don't get your hopes up that it'll be any time soon.
