How do i set something resembling a resting position for the remote?

I ask because in Metroid: Other M, I will be perpetually stuck in missile mode, because for some reason once i enter, the emulated remote is constantly pointing forward as opposed to resting sideways like it should be for this game, and how it is until i enter missile/ aim mode.

The only solution i have is to set a button to point somewhere else and then hold it, which is obnoxious.

You are looking for the "Hide" mapping under "IR".
You may want to right-click "Hide" and set it to "!Button X" (note the !) to require releasing the button to "hide". (left trigger of a controller works well)

Thanks for that.
I did something like that originally, but this time it worked, and plays perfectly.

Much appreciated.
