I have a bit of an issue here. I used to play RE Zero back when Dolphin 3.0 came out and it ran 30 FPS all the time, absolutely no issues. Now, I wanted to replay the game, but for some reason it runs like crap. I get like 20-25 FPS instead of 30. I'm using Dolphin 3.0-692 dirty.

Quote:used HLE and LLE,BGM disappear in a few minutes later(when encounter the enemy)...... RE4 (and RE series in general) will have sound issues whatever you will do Quote:I used to play RE Zero back when Dolphin 3.0 came out and it ran 30 FPS all the time, absolutely no issues. Recent builds tend to be slower

Yup, just tested it. Tried the official old 3.0 ver and current one, old one runs smooth as butter.

I can confirm, that the last version 692 has problems (right at the beginning in the train, when Rebecca faces the first group of three zombies the framerate and sound (with HLE and LLE) drops and stutters terrible. But i still prefer a slightly newer version than 3.0, cause i always get that damned "your memory-card in slot A is corrupted and needs to be formated"-problem after a time. I dont know which Git solves this problem. The last version i played through the whole game smoothly was 3.0-368, no memory-card-problems like in 3.0 and no drops like in the newer gits.

I just wanted to give my data since there hasn't been much info on games besides Remake and Zero but I will give my praise for Remake's performance.
The performance in Remake for both pre-692 Dolphin and the latest one is great with the exception of the sound in cutscenes which was a hit or miss. Seeing it in 1600 rez was a sight to behold and it ran perfect on my stock intel i5 2.6 settings. And I will be trying out Zero soon. However for an older game in the series like Code Veronica the starting room is completely dark except for Clair and that guy who lets her out of her prison cell ( and yes I have equipped the lighter lol). And also the FMV movies don't work at all. I don't know if its just a thing on my side but I've tried two versions of Dolphin, the lastest and an older one pre-692 and I get the same result for both and I'm using the recommend settings. I don't think this is a huge bummer, but it is disappointing nonetheless. Anyone have better results with Code Veronica? 06-26-2012, 09:50 AM

Thanks, that fixed the darkness problem.
The only thing I'm still having trouble with is the sound just like in Remake. But overall it's not a game breaker. I've found that pre-692 has the best results when it comes to getting the full audio. 06-26-2012, 10:01 PM

Nice to know ,
i though fiddling with the audio settings would improve the sometimes squeeking sound eventually |
