does anyone know how to force widescreen for the RE remakes for the Wii? it's the only game i've found that still displays in 4:3 even if i select "Force 10:9" or "stretch to window".

any idea what's going on? thanks --e

Not sure if this has been stated before, i couldnt find it anywhere... but for anyone getting a crash when Leon steps onto the "right" yellow switch in the castle, you can bypass that crash by nudging the girl little by little onto the right switch until she depresses it, then get on the "left" switch with Leon. This method completely solved it for me.

I just got past the black screen in Biohazard 4 but I'm not sure how. I tried svn 7690 and was getting the same problem at first but I went into Graphics > Hacks, then enabled EFB copies and it's sayonara black screen!

Here's the weird part though. I went back into the menu and disabled EFB copies again, but the black screen didn't return. So I'm not sure how it got fixed but it did. If anyone else has the issue though try what I did.

Every RE games boot on 3.0 for RE4 try rebooting it several times if necessary. I'm retrying RE series at the moment but I haven't still replayed RE4 entirely

^ It's the JP version though... I've tried rebooting it 10 times on 3.0 and nothing, even after changing various settings. On 7690 it works however

Interesting could it come from the japanese version? Did you play other RE games? Btw I'm playing PAL versions

Hey so I'm trying to run REmake for GC and it works almost perfectly except for the main hall from a single camera angle. It's the angle you start at once you see the zombie eating the stars member and backtrack. The game goes from the constant 30 FPS to 18-20 and sometimes audio will cutout.

I have tried the latest build as well as 3.0 and neither have worked. My settings for 3.0 matched the suggested settings on page 1 with the exception of the Audio Backend. I use Xaudio2 because DSound is very choppy and some music/dialogue is cut out abruptly.

Here's my system:

Phenom II 940 OC to 3.4 GHz
4 GB Corsair Dominator at 800 MHz
AMD Radeon 6870

hey everyone. could you guys recommend a good build/setup for Resident Evil Remake?

i've already beaten the game without any issues about 1,5 - 2 years ago on an older build, but i cannot remember which one it was. all i know that it was badly optimized and Chris was really buggy.

right now i wanna replay the game as Chris, especially since new builds allow me to run the game with better character models and fog without any significant FPS loss. problem is, i get random crashes on random actions (opening a door, picking up an object etc). from what i've figured it is really random and is very frustrating. i have tried the recommended settings, my old settings, disabling fog, opengl, dx9, dx11 and many many other settings on already FOUR different builds. i'm kinda desperate here. also, there's always minor problems with voices - they just cut from time to time.

my setup: core quad q9550, radeon hd 5870, 8gb ddr2 ram, windows 7 x64.
any help would be much appreciated!

Okay, here we go :
Go to the Wii tab under the Config menu and set the Aspect Ration to 4:3 (Yes yes, just set it)
Then go to Graphics and set Aspect Ration to 16:9 (Yup :p)

And voila ! That's how it works Wink
