Hi guys, new to the forums here, have a question about the RE remake. I seem to be having the same issues that Chris was having (and a pretty common issue it would appear), with clipped/skipping audio.

I am running the latest rev of Dolphin, and I have tried other recommended revs in forums and the wiki page, but nothing seems to work. The audio is fine except in in-game cutscenes (FMVs are fine).

I am running 64-bit W7, Intel i5-760, and a GTX 460, and even I've aligned my build with others who have succeeded, I can't get around this nasty issue. I'm kind of at my wit's end.

Is there an ideal rev/config for the remake? Or do you guys take this on a case-by-case basis?

Thanks for the help and I hope this is the right place to post!

Bad textures... some are missing if you watch out

but , do you have solution?

Do you get this only here? Which settings did you use?

Guys I think I found something that may help solve this problem of sound in Resident Evil Rebirht ! At least, it worked for me !
All I did, is check the config txt under the "User/Config" path, and then opened "Dolphin.ini"
The problem is, that under the [Core] part, there is a line that says :
CPUCore = 1.
This dosen't make sens, since I have a Core 2 Duo, and I checked the Enable Dual Core case....
Well, I turn it to "2" manually. Went to the game, and.... Suprise !! No more skipping sound in the Cutscenes, all the background musics are playing well, no stop ! Okay, there still some grabage but "rarely" ! I really enjoy the game now !
Hey, I figured this by a chance, so I don't really have any proof if this is really a fix or no.
Try it, and tell if it works ;D
See ya ! I hope this will work for you all !
(BTW, this is my 1st post in the forum :p)

Doesn't seem to fix the issue for me.

I tried turning both the CPUCore setting and the CPU Thread off, as well, to no effect.

You may be on the right track, I don't know -- it didn't work for me. :\

EDIT: To clarify, the audio I'm specifically referring to is the opening lines directly after the "Enter the survival horror" text is displayed. It begins with "There were only three...." -- the rest is indiscernible.

Did you edit the txt file ? I don't know but that worked for me.
Hey, another way to play Resident Evil perfect : Try the Wii version. I'm playing it right now, and everything seems perfect, graphics, sound, framrate.
It's the better version to play, I'll try Resident Evil Zero too, maybe it's better on Wii Smile

Yeah, sorry, the text file was what I was referring to.

I will definitely try the Wii version, though. Sounds hopeful, as long as I don't have to have a Wiimote Tongue

What settings do you use since 3.0 or in some of the newer builds? Some options are gone now and RE: Remake now doesn't run at full speed anymore. 98% while standing around and down to like 60 % when moving. I referred to the wiki here and tried to set my dolphin like it's mentioned there but no luck since then. EFB Copy to Texture is now gone right? What should I select instead? And what options should i tick in the game specific menu (right click on iso). edit: GC-Version.

OMG sorry guys. I didn't read the first page. Everything I want to know is right there. Sorry again. *blush

I have a problem with the Wii version of Resident Evil 0.

It runs perfectly fine except for whenever I am recording with fraps the CG cutscenes get a lot of screen tearing.
Without fraps recording it is fine.

I have tried new and old emulators, official and unofficial.

This problem does not occur on the Gamecube version of RE 0 but the GC version has bugged audio.

Does anyone know what would cause the problem with recording with CG cutscenes?

No problem on that ! All you need is launch the game, and once in the main menu, go to options, and set the main controle to "Classic Pad" (You should see it, the pad is like the Game Cube's one) ! And there it is !
But you should have a controler first xD !
I'm playing it right now, the Wii Version and it's just great ! Wink

Well usually, Fraps uses limite FPS to record videos, like 30 or 60 FPS.
Try to check : "Limit by FPS" in the General tab Wink
I don't have the Wii version, I'll try it as soon as I'll have it Wink

EDIT : Okay. I tried the Wii Version, and it's way better than the Game Cube Version. No problem with the cutscenes. All I did is to check the "Limite by FPS" in the General tab.
Hope this'll help you ^^

Hi, I've been playing REMake using Dolphin and it runs extremely well. However, just before the second yawn fight in the library I've run into a major problem.

The ladder you have to use to fight the yawn is bugged. If you use it at the top of the stairs it sends you UP instead of down. I managed to make it down by having the yawn knock me down. But after I beat him, the ladder was still bugged only this time it sends me DOWN instead of up.

Basically, the ladder's functionality is reversed and I was wondering if anyone had a solution to the problem?

Thanks!
