Put "Anisotropic Filtering" to 1x, also do not force bi/trilinear filtering.

Well i don't see any major problems in your graphics Configuration, i have a couple of ideas, but they are all kinda minor. Anyway:

First of all, what revision are you using? Switching to another revision might help, as far as i know, R6505 should be one of the fastest (if not THE fastest revision atm). The last revision i used to play Darkside Chronicles was R7283, which gave me pretty much constant 30 fps (in-game of course). There are however some graphic issues with the projection hack in this revision, which can be avoided depending on settings. I didnt really play the game with this revision, it was more like testing, albeit ALOT of testing.

Your Intel Core2Duo might be capable of handling more advanced SSE instructions than my own CPU, which only supports up to SSE3. Try to get a revision with the highest Instruction set possible. I know Lectrode releases all of his builds with optimized instructions. If your CPU supports SSE4.1 or SSE4.2 you should see a speedup.

As for your settings:

Disable OpenCL,i've read that in most cases it is actually slower than regular CPU texture decoding (and no i am NOT reffering to the description in Dolphin)

Disable Safe texture cache and see if you cant run the game without it.

Set EFB scale to Fractional or 1x.

Try with a resolution lower than 720P. I just want you to try, to see wheter your GPU is really the problem or not. if your sure this is not the problem then nevermind this.

Kill "Pixel Depth" and "Force bi/trillinear filtering"

Hope this helps, i am a bit unsure on this one:/

Thanks for the help, I tried all the settings you suggested and the FPS is still unplayable, I tried the game at 800x600 too and it didn't help either, I am beginning to think it has probably something to do with the revision I use, it's 6591, my RE1 runs perfectly with this revision, anyway I think I am gonna try other revisions and see if there will be any improvement.

While i have not yet tried Code Veronica, i just browsed through the first post for ya and found this. I decided to copy the text rather than quote, as is it is a rather large post:

* RE Code Veronica - in game's profile in Graphics plugin uncheck "EFB Copy" (otherwise you will see black background textures)

Try this and see if it doesn't help render the background correctly.
Unfortunately I had already tried but have not solved anything ...
Any other suggestions?

Well if that's the case, then i'm afraid i don't know what to do, since i don't have this game.

The only thing i can think of is that you try out the revision that Zezoman has listed in the first post (think it was R7442). Though i doubt there is any relevance between the revision he has posted and the settings he recommends, it's worth a shot i guess. if not then i really don't know.

Hey guys, so I plan on playing through my RE0 through Dolphin (r7564).
Its been going relatively well except a minor problem:

I have the PAL version which I know is limited to 25/50 fps.
For the most part I have been getting 25 fps but occasionally it drops to ~18. A lot of the time it drops to ~20 when I screen change (when the camera angle needs to change).
I was wondering is there a fix for this to keep the game at a constant 25 fps?

Also could someone tell me what resolution to play this game to make it look as good as possible? Im really not sure what resolution to play this at.

My System Specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Phenom™ II X4 20 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
8192MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB (Overclocked but not sure by how much)

Dolphin Settings:

If you need anymore info just ask away guys and thanks in advance and great work with the progress in emulation! (I remember running dolphin back a few years ago and getting ~7 fps).

Thanks for the very fast reply, just tested this change on a few screens and my fps now only drops on screen change.
It seems consistent to drop to 21 fps when the camera angle switched then quickly jumps back to 25 fps.
Normally this is fine but when running through a long section you notice the fast drop and jump in fps. It also seems to always be 21 fps, doesnt drop to ~18 anymore but always 21.

Im wondering now is this just normal with the game itself.
Thanks again.

EDIT: I just played this through my 26 inch TV and for some reason the drop wasnt noticable at all (it was still occuring). I think this always happens with the game even when playing on the actual console.
