Any chance you are running the PAL version of the game?

Yes, I'm running the PAL version, I guess I should have mentioned that, sorry

I figured as much but atleast i know for sure now. Since this is the case it is no wonder you can't get more than 25 fps no matter what resolution you try, since the PAL version is SUPPOSED to run at 25 fps in-game or more precisely 25/50, only the NTSC version runs at 30 fps, or more exactly 30/60.

In other words you are already running this game at full speedWink

Well if you can get your hands on Resident Evil Archives you should be able to run the game flawlessly (its the exact same game). Personally I have never tried the gamecube version on dolphin.

Side note, Is code Veronica still wonky on dolphin? I presume its best emulated with the playstation 2 version.

Its sad how i own the resident evil collection on my gamecube, yet still want to play these games HD on my PC. Nothing will ever be good enough Tongue

So I wasn't wrong at all when I started to think it could just be a native limitation of the game.

Thank you so much guys Smile

I do have the PAL version to but Im running the game 30 fps most of the time. You might want to check the Wii Settings and put a check on PALRGB60 mode or something to make pal version games have 30/60 fps. it's set to automatic in newer builds. Noticed the difference from Version 2.0 and Build 7442.

Hope it helps.

How do REmake's pre-rendered backgrounds look in HD? I know from emulating PS1 game's that pre-renders can look pretty nasty when viewed in HD, is this the case with REmake? Or did Capcom render them at a higher resolution that the GC/Wii required?

Re Archives (RE 1) and RE0 are complete remakes for the GC then ported over to Wii. unlike RE2 and veronica X which are complete ports from PS1 and ps2

I've encountered something like this before, but in JPCSP (PSP emu). First thing I'd try would be changing resolution to native.

code veronica was first released for dreamcast after 1 or 2 years they released it for ps2...anyway best emulation is pcx2 and best quality at hd resolution is dolphin
