Ehm...i still need your settings, the Direct3D9 plugin is probably the best one to use, but i need ALL your settings eg, Configuration, Graphics settings, Game Properties settings, Audio settings and such.

The CPU you have should be able to run the game without too many slowdowns, but you didnt tell me the Core speed?

What do you mean pauses in the voices? Like missing music/sounds or what? Are you using HLE sound plugin or LLE sound plugin?

Sorry for all this, i really can't help you without knowing your settings, your specs don't seem to be the problem.

Finally we are getting somewhereTongue Anyway, your settings does seem fine for the most part, but there are a couple if things would like to point out:

1: You should check wheter you really need Safe Texture cache activated or not, even set to fast it might stil provide some slowdowns. I know i had to use this feature with an earlier revision to prevent crahses, but i dont think i am using Safe Texture Cache with this game anymore.

Turn it off and see how the game plays out.

2: I really don't know how powerful your GPU is, but running the game at 1920X1080P sounds like you are pushing it. Did you really play REmake with this resolution?

Try a lower resolution and see if that doesnt help increase your fps. You are not using any anti aliasing, so it might not be a problem, but try anyway. Oh and if you are NOT playing this game in fullscreen then nevermind this question.

3: In game properties, try activating "VBeam emulation", it might help your fps to stay steady.

4: Try turning off "Lock thread to cores"

5: If none of the above helps, try turning off Audio throttle while setting framelimit to 50 (for pal) or 60 (for ntsc) and remember to tick " use fps for limiting".

Oh and 1 more thing, i still need to know the core speed of your CPU. How many ghz?

Your CPU is not the problem then. Try doing the things i suggested and tell me if your fps is getting any better, for now i can't come up with anything else you can do.

You probably need someone with more technical knowlegde than me to solve that kind of error, but for starters you should post the error message, or better yet, take a screenshot of it when it happens.

Edit: You said that this runtime error happens whenever your usinf OpenCL right? How about just turning it off, i think NaturalViolence said something about OpenCL not being faster than the normal sse optimized code in most cases.

Hello, all.
I hate to be a bother, but I can't seem to find any settings info for the GameCube version of Resident Evil 1. I've gotten the game running at full speed in the past, but I recently grabbed an updated build (r7449). Of course, I followed the instructions on the first page, but it was for the Wii version, and didn't solve my speed issue. The Wiki seems to be for another build, since that didn't improve my speed either.

If someone would be so kind and post detailed settings info for the GameCube version (Or suggest a revision that definitely runs the game at full speed), I would be most appreciative.

You can try using OpenGL (runs faster for me), only checking "EFB Scaled Copy", "EFB Copy>Texture", "Disable Fog" and "Enable OpenCL".

Also you can try lowering the resolution, AA etc. a bit and setting the EFB Scale to Fractional.
