Ah, so the "paintball" glitch can be fixed by Accurate Texture Cache? didn't know that Smile

OK on another note: has anyone been successful porting their Dolphin RE4 saves to their Wii? I tried because I wanted to play on my Wii and here was my experience:

- Dophin did "Export Wii Save (Experimental)" ok - created private\wii\title\rb4e\data.bin or whatever correctly
- Copied the file to my SD card
- When tried to import it to the Wii it said "Data may not have been copied" and of course it wasn't

My Dolphin save folder has empty "nocopy" dir, plus files bh4_system, bh4_data00, bh4_data01 & bh4_data02 and that's it.

Any help much appreciated.

I hadn't even bothered to try moving saves around yet, but I just tried and got the same.

On the plus side, importing went just fine. I'm glad your request prompted me to finaly try that.

Hello fellow RE fans! I'm new to Dolphin and need help getting Resident Evil 4 (Gamecube) to run. I know the Wii version is supposedly the "best" one, but I couldn't find a place to download it anyway.

My question is simple: Is there a certain build of Dolphin that is guaranteed to work perfectly with RE4, and a certain set of graphics/settings configuration that's guaranteed to work? I would GREATLY appreciate it.

I downloaded the very newest build of Dolphin and RE4 yesterday, and couldn't get it to work for the life of me. It either crashed before I could get into the game, or ran incredibly slowly in-game.

I have an Intel i7 quad core processor, 4 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GT330M graphics card.

Thank you!

I certainly hope you own the games that you want to run on the emu, because no one around here condones piracy. You might want to clarify this before others get the wrong idea and hit you with the ban-hammer.

In fact I do own the Gamecube version, and currently do not have access to it. That's another reason I specifically asked about the GC and have no interest in the Wii version. Sorry I didn't clarify the first time.

Hey guys, since when is Darkside Chronicles working properly??
I updated my Windows 7 from 32 to 64 bit a week ago and today I tried out the newest Dolphin (x64_r7283) because I hadn't checked the new releases for a while. No disappearing gunshot sounds, no low FPS, no nothing. I love it, thank you Dolphin developers! Smile

Thanks for that bit of info, are you using the settings from the first page? also are you using vbeam emulation?

Thanks Big Grin Excited to try it.

I didn't even fiddle with the settings and just started playing with the same settings I use for Umbrella Chronicles, but now I checked the first page and it happens to be the same. Smile I don't use vbeam hack (thanks for the tip, I'll try it out!) and in DFX settings --> advanced I checked:
- disable Dest. Alpha Pass
- disable fog
- enable OpenCL

I set the framelimit to 60 but I also use audio throttle, so I don't know if it matters at all (in Fatal Frame 4 it made a huge difference even with the enabled audio throttle).

I hope the game will work for you as well!
