Problem with Resident Evil Zero. Sound is distorted. Also, I receive 4 error windows before launching the iso. It warns that the game will crash/hang. Right now Im focused on sound because I won't play the game unless the sound is right. ( My first time playing Resident Evil games... just beat Remake (1))

I run Remake 99% perfectly. Is the only solution to fix the RE0 sound is to run the Wii version? Does anyone know a torrent for the Wii version that is legit/still seeds?

E8500 (3.1ghz) Intel

Those common sounds issues in RE0 (sound distortion, echoes etc.)

I swear i downloaded a revision of Dolphin few months ago and the sounds problems were completely fixed.

Problem is i don't remember the rev number and i can't find it anymore.

Only thing i remember it was a "special" rev of Dolphin just to fix the sounds issues in RE0. Maybe it was called Dolphin Zero or something like that i don't remember exactly.

Any one has any idea about that rev?

Someone can tell me if there's a difference between Wii and GC versions of Resident Evil Remake and Zero?

I have here the 2 versions of RE:Remake and im playing the GC version like 99%~100%(28~30fps) all the time... but, the Wii version its full of graphics glitches and almost impossible to play(running like 12~13fps)

About RE:Zero, i have only the Wii Version... and... its running like 65%... and i cant find on internet a GC version... wish i could test to see the difference =O

WEll, I found a solution for the RE Zero audio distortion and echo. Wii version runs to slow and crashes so thats not it. To fix the audio problem, you need to play the Euro Version of RE Zero for GC. The echo in the sound is completely gone and sound distortion is really to a minimum. You hardly ever hear it while playing the game. Only time I tend to hear some small sound static is during cinematics.

Do all the Resident Evils work properly on Dolphin?
I have all of them, so I would like to know which ones I can start playing and which ones I should wait for better emulation. Obviously I would prefer playing them in chronological order (Zero, Rebirth, 2, 3: Nemesis, Code Veronica X and 4).
Are the settings in the first post OK for the Gamecube versions?
The only one I've tried is Zero, I get 4 error messages (the same two repeated) but then the games seem to work fine, but I've tried it only a few minutes.
I'm confused because I've read of people using special versions of Dolphin or changing game version (PAL/NTSC or Gamecube/Wii) to resolve most of the issues.
All of my games are NTSC version for Gamecube.

P.S.
If I understood correctly, the Wii version of Resident Evil 4 is exactly the same as the Gamecube version but it has two more modes that were exclusive to the PS2, am I right? Is it possible to play it with a gamepad?

Hi Guys,

iam new to the forum AND new to dolphin so be nice with me.

Iam own a Wii so somebody might think why all the effort with dolphin, but i think the maximum quality of Detail you get with Dolphin. (even the pixel offset from the wii drives me crazy).

I got a few question for RE1 und Zero, maybe someone can help me out.

1. When i use OpenGL for Resident Evil Zero and then ingame change the internal resolution, the hacks (especially Zelda Twilight Princess Bloom hack), theres a huge difference, its from mega-blurred (native) to really sharp (with 3x internal resolution and the hack). It happens all without restart. If i try the same in Resident Evil 1, i didnt even notice a difference. (its not the restart, i made screens with photoshop theres is no difference) Anyone noticed this? Maye RE1 is just better/sharper out of the box?

2. No matter what Plugin i run RE 1 always runs smooth and perfect @31fps. RE Zero only runs smooth at 31fps when i use DX11, but then i got that mega-blurred graphic compared to the open gl setting with the hacks. My Problem is in RE Zero that @OpenGL even if i turn off everything, it just runst at 15fps. (really slow, but no lags). Is there anything wrong here? (had the settings from the first page).

Maybe someone can make some screenshots of there best quality settings for the games? (quality+good run obv )


My system is Q9450@3,4ghz, 2xHD4870 and 8GB Ram.

Yes and you can use aspect ratio 16:9.

Resident Evil Zero 4 error messages for fix it disable "Use Panic Handlers"* Interface settings ................................ disable "Use Panic Handlers"
RE0 Wii,Remake Wii and RE4 Wii the music work better.

Here's the problem:
I have two versions of Resident Evil 4, the Gamecube and Wii version. I own the Gamecube version while the Wii version was lent to me by a friend.
I asked him to lend it to me because I found out that it's more complete (Seperate Ways), it supports 16:9 and you can use the Classic/Gamecube controller.
The problem is that when I start the game, a message appears telling me to connect the Nuncuk to the Wii Remote, but since I don't have them I cannot start the game.
Is there a way to resolve?
Otherwise I'll just have to play the Gamecube version, too bad for Separate Ways...

Turn on the nunchuk to pass this screen and turn off power to use the control of GC.(Take a look at the images)
