if i use optimize quantizer the sound and FPS are perfect ut i got the wierd looking caracter bug

if i uncheck the optimize quantizer: no more graphical bug, but i get the scratching noise and low fps in cutscenes !

i am using 4712
dx9 plugin ...

Just use the IL version, there you can keep Optimize Quntizers on safely Wink

it's even worst if i use the IL version, in the IL version the sound is always scratchy.... no matter what setting i use ...

I have normal fps in cutscenes, and constant 29-30 everywhere else, too. Depends a lot upon the cpu, I had significant drops in framerate with my old cpu. Enabling idle skipping helps a lot (for Wii, and disabling for GC). IL version of course.

The scratchy noise during BGM play seems to be unavoidable. Perhaps some upcoming version of dolphin will fix that. I'm using 4713.
Disabling idle skipping in RE 1 on Wii will result in a higher framerate in for example the main hall, but will reduce the framerate at for example the outdoor balcony section where you find Forest, and vice versa. I'm talking IL version here.

Hi folks! Just wanted to say I just beat the RE Remake on Dolphin! I think my build is SVN R4460. it's pretty slow in places, but overall very good. there were only a few noticeable sound glitches, like half of the dialogue is missing in the cutscenes. Graphically, though, it was perfect. Thanks for making such a great program! Smile

Why does playing with Chris (in both the GC and Wii version) produce graphical glitches (Chris showing through the rendered background and after a while vanishing completely i.e. becoming invisible), while Jill's scenario goes off without a single glitch?
And it appears that it's the dining room which makes it happen. After you cross it and come back to the second frame Chris starts going ''through'' stuff and after a while disappears completely. As long as you stay away from the dining room, stuff goes smooth.

I figured it out, it's due to copy EFB to GL texture. If I switch it to RAM before going to the dining room, it's ok. After that I can put it back to GL texture, to avoid fps drop in the main hall.

Oh, and the scratchy sound of BGM is fixed in SVN 4727!

Don't worry about that, the cheats don't appear to work anyway. The crash might be due to an incorrect (master) code. Try various combinations of replay codes. But as I said, even when I manage to start the game, the cheats are not in effect (Enable cheats checked, ofc).

P.S. Wow, RE0 (GC version) runs really smoothly and fast on SVN 4727!!
The same goes for REmake
