OMG !!!!! IT WORKS !!!!

Incredible improvement, it went from almost no music and background sound at all, to more than acceptable, actually, its pretty good.

Skid.. (applause)

This is indeed good news for RE2 and RE3. The music is a bit intermittent but at least it is present.
It is too bad that RE0 ,RE1 and RE4 do not get on very well with LLE, the sound is really choppy and intermittent and HLE does the job much better for those games.
Updated the initial post with this recommendation.

We don't know zezoman's specs. His system might be the problem.

For RE I agree with you. The sound works fine with LLE. I won't say "no" problem. There are glitches here and there. But we can say it works fine.

RE0 has issues. Not as much as RE4 though

Well I have a decent system and don't have any performanve problems with those games. But for some reason when using LLE the sound cuts off every 3-4 seconds just for a moment and then everything is normal for another 3-4 seconds when it cuts off again. Tried setting the On Thread option but it did not resolve this. I get this issue for RE0, RE1 and RE4. It is present in RE2 and RE3 as well but not so noticeably and the fact that there is music now ingame justifies this glitch Smile

Yes but your system is too weak to use LLE. Above all with demanding games such as RE series

Lord Vador is right, that might be the problem.

is anyone experiencing random frame rate drops in RE2/3 using the latest builds?

while playing it drops from 30 to 15~18 fps without any reason; entering the inventory and then exiting it restores the speed back (but can sometimes make things worse)...
