i though fiddling with the audio settings would improve the sometimes squeeking sound eventually Wink

LLE (assuming your system can support it) will solve a lot of sound issues but not 100%
Using XAudio2 (with HLE) is a good alternative too

I have the GC version of RE Remake. Ive used the above guide for all my setting, I am using Dolphin 3.0 and I still get choppy audio as well as 30fps max. It fluctuates between 23-30 sometime dropping to 15.

Ive only played the first scene and following Barry into the dining room. When the voice over comes on while opening the door it gets all garbled and high pitched almost like it super fast forwards and breaks. For most of the opening cinematic the sound is synced but towards the end its off. The sound will play a little before the picture.

The dialogue between the characters when they first enter is a little off and stutters a bit as well.

I am using a dvi cable, I run VIA HD audio deck for sound, my monitor is an ASUS VW246H

So thats my issue. Any thoughts or suggestions?

The sound issues in recent builds are not an issue with the official 3.0 release, you should use that for now. That's 3.0, not 3.0-xxx.

Curious if it's just me or if save states in Zero are unusable? Everything else runs just fine (well had a crash earlier but opted it was dinner time anyway, will see if that reoccurs). But if I try to use save states, any time I load a save state I get about a permanent 30% speed and about 10-15 fps drop. Only fix is to close and reopen, and load from a game save.

running 3.0-716
*just checked with 3.0 release and it does not suffer from slowdown after loading a savestate.

With all the settings mirrored to best of what I could see with them side by side, the 3.0 release actually performed better running at 100% speed nearly all the time where 716 was dipping into mid-low 90's, on top of not having the loading from save state issue. It doesn't look quite as nice though as I seem to have vibrating horizontal lines in the 3.0 which does not exist in 716

*well how about that though.. on 3.0 I actually raised the video settings (maxed out AA and AF) and changed the internal res from native to auto(multiple). After looking at the front page I ticked on force texture filtering (which wasn't enabled on 716) and it actually looks better than 716. Also no save state issue on 3.0 with those changes

1- Latest builds tend to be slower than Dolphin 3.0
2- Dolphin 3.0 is an excellent choice to play RE series (not only RE0) Smile

I strongly recommend to play RE3 on nullDC. Ive played through the whole game without any crashes, graphical issues and only minor sound problems. Furthermore you have all customs for Jill from the beginning and the render-backgrounds look as good as in the Gamecube-Version.

My current desktop-system:

OS: Win8.1x64
CPU: i5 2500k @ 4,2 GHz
GPU: nVidia 560 Ti
