Just save in-game. It's better than savestates which are unreliable.

None. It does it with all games.

No, i played RE Zero and SRT GC
both have no problems with save states only REmake which corrupt the savestates data and the game itself :/ i want to take advantages of "finish the game with small amount of save games" and the emulator with such games sometimes keeps crashing that why i want to use savestates to prevent progress loss :/ 04-07-2012, 06:29 AM
Well there is a global problem with savestates, and unless you want to learn C++, and find the exact problem, and fix it yourself you shouldn't complain after being told there's no easy fix. If it doesn't affect some of your games, then that's good, but doesn't prove that it only affects this game.
Anyway, be grateful for what has been done: no-one else is going to give you what is effectively a free Nintendo Wii.

At the moment I've played till countyard, there was something odd with the main hall camera angle where you see the candles close to screen, that is the only point so far where FPS drops down to 10 Hi, the screechy sound bug of most recent 3.0 revisions seems fixed (tested on 3.0-587 x64). As for performance problems - for me they always get fixed with enabling VBeam emulation.

hey guys, does anybody managed to fix sound in resident evil 2 and 3 for gc?
RE2 barely has music, its so intermittent most of the time i cant hear it, and RE3 has the same but also with sound effects. i testedthem in at least 6 dolphin versions.
noticed the save state bug too. After loading a state, REmake crashes as you enter the hallway just before the Snake boss. Loading from a proper save file works fine though.
Performance in REmake is perfect with the latest Lectrode build (3.0-578) 100% speed constantly. No audio issues with HLE either. The game runs flawlessly. Using LLE audio causes severe slowdown though. Resident Evil 3 still has audio skipping issues with HLE and LLE audio. Performance wise, it runs perfectly though. Only graphical error i've noticed is items in certain inventory spaces, don't seem to be drawn, and appear invisable, as if the slot is empty.
Yeah I check every new revision of dolphin to see if any improvements have been made to resolve the Resi 2 & 3's BGM bug

save states always cause dolphin to crash at some point in REmake. I've decided to just not use them at all.
Resi 2 and 3 frustrate me, because I have them both running perfectly, except for the damn audio issues. music and sound skipping constantly :/ 04-21-2012, 07:15 AM

If those audio issues were solved the entire series (bar maybe veronica as its better on ps2 emulator) could be played perfect on dolphin. Hopefully that day will come so I dont have to continue to save my gamecube and resi collection. FOREVER DIGITAL!!!! |
