It's ok to be "different" but you're talking about plots that are clearly aimed at the intellectual equivalent of young teenagers. The stories used by these games are not designed for adults, and it clearly shows. Quite frankly the developers themselves don't hold them to a very high standard, as long as it's "passable" they don't care. You're literally the first person I've come across to say that either of those games have good stories. Crysis 2s plot is usually described as "horrible", "extremely confusing", or "a complete load of horse shit". I've seen plenty of people say that RE6s plot is ok but nobody has been able to honestly say that they though it was good. Step back for a minute and look at these stories objectively, what exactly did you think made them good?
