it is normal that happens? I tried to lower the details and everything, but nothing changes, I may have overfilled the directory? 1.06 GB are many. Could this be the cause?

my spec:

CPU: i7-2600K @4.20GHz RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz 8GB CL8 GPU: GTX 580 DirectCU II OS: 7 Ultimate 64bit

It's a issue of the Custom textures in dolphin...

Quote:Yeah, we're doing lots of stupid stuff when loading custom textures. It's probably easy to fix that, but possibly a pretty time-consuming task. Not sure if I'll take a stab at it.

RB4E08 part 11 NEW) i understood from the instructions that every file needs to be put into a a folder..but im unsure if this was a mistake and im sapost to use the NEW or if im sapost to use both..please explain thanks

OK i tryd again to do this and i reely dont get it .what am i doing wrong? tryd making a folder named RB4E08 or RB4P08 with all the downloaded textures as zips.42 in totale. extracted the id converter thing to the same folder with all the texture zips .clicked nameconverter.exe . tryd putting in RB4E08 and RB4P08 as the Game ID i click start it ses files renamed 0 no need to rename files 0 so i guess that was wrong. so now im trying to make a folder named RB4E08 and extract every texture file winrare into that folder but as im doing this its telling me there are files named the same..so am i sapost to overright them or move and keep both files...this is reeely confusing me .please explain.

Oddly enough I have also just tried emulating Resident Evil 4 and decided to try out custom textures. Odd how life works huh? You and I both trying the same thing at the same time, weird. I've gotten them to work, but unfortunately there are microstutters when loading textures, even when I move it all to my SSD! But that is another problem, I'm posting to help you with yours. Smile

Okay, so what I did is 1) I downloaded all the files, 2) I made a folder called "RB4E08" (because I use the version of the game iso with the corresponding ID rather than "RB4P08" for example) and put it in this directory (folder where dolphin is located)\User\Load\Textures (it must be placed in this directory) 3) I extracted the files using 7zip (a free zip, rar, 7z etc. extracter) in this order ( A files with clear ordering ie. RB4E08 part 4 by hyperspeed.rar, RB4E08 part 5 by hyperspeed.rar,etc. B then files that seemed like additional miscellaneous stuff such as Barrel and box 2.rar and Hi-res Ada black.zip and finally C, files that are clearly labeled as updates and thus should be placed in last, like more mipmap fix update 2.zip and New Leon Coat to dolphin.rar.) 4) Make sure that you are using textures that correspond to your Game ID (use the converter to change the first part of the name so they will be used, the folder they are placed in must also match) 5) Don't extract RB4E08 part 11 by hyperspeed OLD.rar into the folder, it's meant to be replaced by RB4E08 part 11 by hyperspeed NEW.rar and if you have extracted it just replace all the files with those that come out of RB4E08 part 11 by hyperspeed NEW.rar. 6) Some archives will have folders within them, make sure those with (RB4E08) are entered properly (ie. look in your RB4E08 folder at the end and make sure there is no RB4E08 folder within it, if there is, go in and cut/paste the contents into the first folder). Also, there a few with folders like "Black", "Red", "Wooden box", "RB4E08 part 5 by hyperspeed", and "RB4E08 part 6 by hyperspeed". All you have to do is go inside them and take the files out manually and put them in your RB4E08 folder. 7) In your Dolphin.exe, make sure the graphics backend is set to "OpenGL" (just for Resident Evil 4)and that "Load Custom Textures" is checked, also as a precaution I think that the "Texture Cache" should be set to "fast" and "EFB Copies" should be set to "Texture" as seen here: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-tales-of-symphonia-high-res-textures.

That should do it with any problems you had setting it up, just make sure the IDs are set up and the NEW files are placed in after the OLD ones. Now ifonly someone could help me stop the microstutters, I checked the error report and it said it was fixed on the 6th of January 2013, but it's still happening to me. Maybe it's because I'm using the latest revision and not the official 3.5 release? Anyways hope that works out, I was originally gonna let someone else help you, but this forum is a little dead I think so I decided to help desptie the 40+ minutes it took to make this guide perfect. I don't really frequent these forums and only just decided to emulate Resident Evil 4 with custom textures so its pretty funny the coincidence here. I might be able to answer questions, but like I said I don't check it frequently so I've tried to make this as complete as possible (I guess I could keep the tab open for a week or so). Your welcome, and enjoy. Cool

Edit: But seriously, if anyone can help me with my problem, that would be great, eliminating the microstuttering would be a godsend. Thanks!
