Is there any chance this could get updated to include the fixed frame pacing for 30FPS titles in newer Dolphin versions please? (i.e. option to not skip duplicate XFB frames). I still get quite a bit of stuttering in RE3 in particular.

I have managed to get the RE2 pack to run on android by changing the format to PNG and then reducing the quality by 50 percent. The result is amazing. However certain rooms have visible tile like artifacts, is there any fix for this?

I only know about this project recently and it's so wonderful. People just keep asking me why the graphic is so awesome.
However it has constant FPS drop and stuttering, especially more noticeable when camera changing like it has to load something everything time. I have a very decent PC but this still happens. Can someone please try to help Edit: Currently Playing RE2 with FMV pack (folder name is Dolphin-x64-RE2SHDP-1.2) 02-27-2021, 11:54 PM

Actually I notice your video is a very good example of my problem, having the same constant frames drop and stuttering issue like mine. Do you or anyone know how to solve it or, at least lessen such stuttering? I was hoping for a smooth gameplay
Hi, someone (credit to mikami88 on speedrun.com) made a door skip Gecko code for the Japanese version of RE3 Gamecube. The code is:
04469410 0000000a Can someone please port this to the NTSC-U version so that it's compatible with this texture pack? It would go a long way towards making the game more enjoyable. This code could also be used to help make a door skip code for RE2. Unfortunately, I'm a noob when it comes to porting Dolphin gecko codes between regions. Thanks to everyone who can take a look. I also own both the NTSC-U and NTSC-J versions of the games, and if anyone needs me to send a RAM dump to help port a code over, I can do that too. 03-12-2021, 01:15 PM

Here's some comparisons.
Before: After: As you can see, the code shaves off about 3-4 seconds for each door on average or so. Maybe someone can message Ralf at gc-forever? http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=38 I know they're a very talented hacker so can someone please forward this post over to them? Or just anyone who might know how to port the code. I'd do it myself but I'm not getting the registration email for the site for the account I made. This would go a long way to making a definitive version of RE2/RE3 that is easily preserved and the most enjoyable to play and I would appreciate it a lot. |
