I have that, plus the hd weapon textures and background textures. It's a mix (280 pngs). But they are a mix of tex1 and the other format.

Hello every one, I'm new here, I have a little question.
I try to make a french version but I have a little problem with the names of the files. The files that made here works perfectly with the english version, so I used photoshop to change the "english" into "french" so it's work with the english version of the game, but there is no subtitle and the menu of weapons and all is in english.
So I tried to dump png from the French version, but the names of the files are complex, and I can't find the right name to be in HD in the game, for exemple the name of the image of "this game contains....." in the HD pack is "GHAP08_d3589c411f14e7b0_5" ... (GHAP08 is the ID of the europeen version of RE2), and the file dumped, it's name is "tex1_320x240_d3589c411f14e7b0_5" I tried to make the name "GHAP08_d3589c411f14e7b0_5" but it's not working, I tried ton change the resolution "320x240" not working too, how can I know the real name of the file who work in HD, because when I let the name of the file dumped and I pute an HD image in the game it's in SD. I'm confused, help please.

Salut Peeves. J'ai déjà converti les textures avec la méthode tex1 internationale dans le pack que je propose ici. Il faut juste renommer le dossier GHAE08 en GHAP08. Il ne te restera plus qu'à dumper et modifier les textures spécifiques au langage français, donc tout ce qui va être traduit dans l'interface, les fichiers et les écrans titre principalement. Tu pourras te baser sur les textures de typo US présentes dans le pack en les renommant et en les complétant je pense.

Salut, j'ai fait comme tu as dis, j'ai modifié certaines choses du pack en français, mais ce que je voudrais c'est retoucher à la VF pas modifier l'anglaise tu vois ?

since the music is broken on lastest builds, it works with all textures released on both .dds and .png

This build has been great so far. Worked good with everything. But everytime i start it up, it goes "not responding" for about 30-45 seconds and then scans the iso files. I have 100+. Is that why? Newer Dolphin builds don't do that.

yeah you may want to add only RE2 folder for this build so you can start it fast, newer builds have optimized iso scan to check them faster.

Any issues with dolphin's widescreen hack are unsupported.

I've currently been through Claire A / Leon B, finished Leon A and be doing Claire B and extra-games in the next days. I think I tracked pretty much all the textures in-game, might have missed some.

Used Waifu2x size 2 no denoise for the backgrounds and xBR 4x for the alpha layers (Waifu creates lines because of the way those textures are stored in chunks, and it sharpens a bit too much the edges of those chunks, basically the same problem that happens when you use texture filtering in dolphin with this game). Believe me when I say it's been quite a nightmare finding a good solution, though there are still some artifacts (mainly dots).

Waifu for the backgrounds was also pretty hard to handle beacause unlike RE3, the backgrounds in this game are split in 3 parts : 1 big left part being a texture itself and 2 small right parts stored in 1 texure (and that's why any output higher than 2xIR or usage of MSAA will draw a black line between the small right side parts). So I had to draw a stroke to separate the 2 small textures so Waifu doesn't accidentally blend them. And even with that in mind, I noticed the game sometimes has a bug where the down-right texture is slightly misplaced (even at native IR it will be noticeable with the mod activated).

For this pack I also include all of Slayer and other posters work, I fixed a few things here & there, so you have everything at hand. Will update the download link once I'll consider it done, only missing for now unique backgrounds and 3D model textures from Claire B and mini-games (which shouldn't be too much), as well as most certainly misses or errors.

Dumped and saved with the tex1 method but in .png, not .dds, sorry (not a pro user lol). Recommended settings : Dolphin 5.0 (plays without the music bug), 2xIR max no AA (otherwise you'll have the black line bug), OpenGL with DolphinFX post processing at your leisure (tonemapping is a must if the game's too bright as I often see on videos)

Do you by any chance still have the original textures before applying waifu , there is a new algorithm
that I wish to try called Esrgan .Here are some of the results on final fantasy 8 which used the same PS1 resolution backgrounds
