RE2 is one of my favorite games, unfortunately it didn't age well graphics wise. since RE2 uses mostly 2D elements, I decided to enhance the experience as much as I can. I don't really have much free time and working alone means *very* slow progress.

Added missing pages from Rookie Files
"You Died" screen
Claire avatar from DC
fixed compass in map view
corrected a typo in main menu (Claire's Story)
added hyperspeed's menu fix

Here is what the texture pack contains:

- Menus
- Fonts
- Maps
- Inventory
- Documents and memos found around the game
- Minigames fonts and menus

A big Thank You goes to AndehX for helping with the documents and many other UI elements

You can Enable Cheats in dolphin to have all files Wink (General -> Enable Cheats) also, you can download cheats (Right click on RE2 -> Properties -> Gecko Codes -> Download Codes)

Thanks Smile these will defiantly come in handy

That would need modeling and rendering each scene then splitting each render into 3 parts + creating some layers to cover the 3d models. It's not impossible but it would take extremely long time and a lot of effort for every single room (and I don't know how to model in the first place :p). Maybe if more people with 3d modeling experience can work on this.

Updated pack on the first post. More work was done on the notes and the extra game modes (extreme battle, Hunk, To-fu) + a big bunch of other fixes.

* just noticed the typo...., will fix it next time. guess that's why you need testers.

First off all i want to say a big hello to the dolphin community!

I Had to sign up after i saw your post, i was so excited when i heard that someone had decided to do this as resident evil 2 is my fave survival horror of all time. You literally just made me play through the whole game again and in a completion time of 1 hr 28 mins i am very impressed by what you have achieved here. Everything is so much nicer and richer and it feels like there's a basic anisotropy applied to what you have applied.

Big big congratulations and a massive thankyou, if you play on taking this any further or need help in adding to this please pm me as i will be more than happy to help.

Photoshop Experience is - intermediate/experienced

Kind Regards
Weedman

I also feel like i can contribute a lot to this project. I personally started updating some textures myself and ive finished the inventory screen along with every item in the game. If Slayer wishes, he is free to use my contribhtions in this project.

Thank you guys for your words. I was getting a bit down with the amount of work and almost lack of response (I saw it coming though, I mean how many people in 2012 play RE2... for gamecube... using dolphin... and access this forum regularly to see or to take part of this..).

Anyone who wants to help feel free to discuss and post your textures here, or by PM if you wish.

Heres a couple of things I've done:

Added the shadow to the RESIDENT EVIL 2 logo:

Also updated the inventory screen with text, and minor improvements:

Theres a tiny graphical error at the very bottom, still trying to work out how to fix it.
