This emulator is amazing, but I have had one problem with it. That is when resetting the emulation settings. You may think it is as simple as just checking and unchecking what it is recommended to do, but it isn't always that simple. I recently tried switching the render to see how the games will run on Direct3D 11 and Vulkan. Except with Vulkan, it decided to basically brick Dolphin. No matter what renderer I was using, the emulator would crash instantly after trying to open a game. Except for the software renderer, that is, but even the most high end of processors probably can't do that efficiently, and especially not mine.
It took me an hour to try and find out how to reset the settings fully. It's not hard to do, you just delete the config files named 'Dolphin Emulator' in Documents, but it's just annoying if you don't know about this folder. Deleting this folder and letting Dolphin create it again fixed it.
I also have to wonder if having a 'reset to default' button would even work, as after this happened none of the settings would save. Maybe the reason it stopped working was that nothing saved, maybe it was just a glitch.
Adding an option to easily reset Dolphin would still be awesome, especially for people who mess around with settings and break things, like me.
