Requriements for Dolphin at 1080p and 720p

Basically, I'm planing to build a new HTPC (Media Center). It will be used for music and Blu-Ray. Now, after noticing that the Dolphin Emulator can run at 1080p/720p, I've decided to use the emulator as a Wii (I have 2 houses, now I won't have to drag the Wii with me). So, what are the requirements to run 1080p with at least 4x Anti Aliasing, and will run above 50 FPS on all games. And also, what is the requirement for 720p (4x AA & >50 FPS), just in case the 1080p requirements are too expensive.
What are the requirements for CPU? GPU?
I believe the: RAM needs to be 2 GB or more
Motherboard doesn't matter
Please be realistic, an HTPC must be near or close to silent, yet as i have judged my Gaming build (i7 920/GTX 275), it is near silent when not gaming. Also, the HTPC case is not as huge as an ATX Full tower, it only supports MicroATX MOBOs, so don't tell me to get a ATI 5970 when it won't fit

It depends on the game, which revision, settings, some other stuff I'm probably not thinking of. I should also point out that no setup no matter how powerful will run all games at fullspeed all the time. In terms of cpu performance per clock for dolphin:

i7 (socket 1366 triple channel memory) > i7/i5/i3 (socket 1156 dual channel memory) > core 2 duo/quad > phenom II > athlon II > phenom > core duo > athlon X2 > pentium D > athlon 64 > pentium 4 > pentium mobile > atom

Obviously socket 1366 platforms are expensive to set up so I would either:

1. Buy an i5 750 and build an LGA1156 platform

2. Wait for intels next generation (sandy bridge) to come out next january/february

As for the gpu. If your going with ati have at least a 5750 for 1080p. For nvidia have at least a GTS 450/250. Obviously you can get away with less than that if you don't use AA and turn off certain settings like efb scale and per-pixel lighting. Some heavier games may benefit from having a GTX 460 or 6850 if your settings are turned up. I should also tell you that unless your gpu is massively underpowered performance in dolphin is usually affected very little if at all by resolution.

As long as you have at least 2GB of ram the rest doesn't matter.

So, will the i3 540 (3.06GHZ) be enough to run at 1080 or 720? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115221&cm_re=i3-_-19-115-221-_-Product
Now, what if I used a GTX 275 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130475

Yes that is an excellent cpu and gpu for dolphin. That setup should run nearly all games at fullspeed. And for the few games that don't run at fullspeed all the time you will still probably get fullspeed in most places and very close to fullspeed everywhere else with the right settings. If you could overclock the i3 that would help even more.

I just want to add, that also cards from ati HD 4xxx series can run the game perfectly on 1080p. In fact the 4870 I have is faster than the 5750.

....which is why I said at least a 5750. As in 5750 or higher. And yes a 4870 is faster than a 5750.
