So I've checked three dead space extraction versions which are NA, EU and Japanese they obviously created for NTSC and PAL regions. NTSC releases play at 30 fps (29.97) while PAL release at 50 fps (~49.95) so PAL version is kinda superior because of almost double fps count but because of uneven frame pacing on 60 hz monitors it fails to replace a proper 30/60 NTSC release.
When you start the game, right after Wii introductions screen, a Visceral Games intro plays and it plays at 59.94 then main menu is around 50+ fps and after loading screen it goes in-game at 29.97.
So I was wondering if this information can help us create 60 fps patch for the NTSC release. I lack programming skills but I have a theory that there's a bit storing current fps and we can spot it by gathering all range of where it could be, then filter it while Visceral Games video and main menu are being played at 60 and then it reverts to 30 so we can filter the data again because we know it changes from 30 to 60 and then to 30 again.
Does that makes sense? That might be a dumb assumption I understand that, all I can is to share my observations.
It would be great to have that patch since game is very stable at 50 so I think that 60 would be a viable option.
