Request BBA emulation

Devs could you please make bba emulation possible on android? Since tap is available on android even without root
I would love to play mkdd on my nvidia shield tv with friends and im sure im not the only one waiting for this function

From my knowledge only tun interfaces are supported on android via the VpnService api, not tap(at least without root). Can you link to the documentation where tap interfaces can be created.

That is just some persons 'claims' that it is possible but they did not link documentation to how it is done. VpnService docs only indicate opening a tun. Without the corresponding Android doc it is not possible at this point.

Ok. That doesn't tell us anything useful.

What works? What can you confirm? What did you try? What app? What APIs expose this feature?

Even if you ran a magic app and it "worked" - without details on how it implemented it (preferably real API documentation or source code) it's pretty much useless.

And even then it relies on a Dolphin dev (of which there aren't many) that knows and works on android (even fewer) and willing to put time into the BBA emulation instead of other work.
