okay I'm posting this again because my dad blocked certain thing on the internet (even though i'm 20...it's a long story) and it seems to block urls with certain words. One of those words seems to be game so i had to make a new post with a new title so i could view it. anyway here's the post again.

like the title says but i do have some more info for u guys. First off i know games running slow is a common problem. But this is weird because it was working just fine (except for audio problems, which i didn't mind) for the three days i was playing it. Then today i opened it up to play and it was running in slow motion! I did not change any setting prior to this problem happening. I did however start trying to mess with some settings after this happened, but i don't really know what i'm doing. The only thing that seems to do anything (i haven't tried all the settings just a few) is the backend setting. When i set it to OpenGL it runs faster but the frame rate will go really slow then fast the slow again. It's really jumpy. If i set it to Direct3D9 or Direct3D11 it just runs in slow motion the whole time.

I should also mention that I have a pretty decent computer. I can run most single player games on high, not ultra high or anything but high is still pretty good. Especially with games like Skyrim.

Please help! I was really having a good time with this game so I really hope you guys have a solution!

also i got some replies on my last post and i'll respond to them here. I'm using dolphin 3.5 idk if that's the latest build but apparently the newer builds are more demanding? should i look for a older version? Also i really don't think my comp is overheating because i played for hours before when it was working, plus i have a cooling pad under it. I'm playing lord of the rings: the third age btw. Also someone mentioned my cpu is a bit slow. Well that doesn't make sense because this is a new computer, I can play other demanding games just fine, and it worked before!

oh and if someone could tell me how to delete my old post that would be great, thanks!

i really don't think this is the problem because of the three reasons i said in my original post. However i'm willing to check it out just to eliminate it as possibility. Idk how to check if my cpu is overheating but i'll look it up.

1- Check your temperature even if you don't think you're overheating.
2- Cooling pads are pretty useless.
3- Your CPU is a bit slow for this game (very demanding).
4- The fact that this is a new computer isn't relevant: even recent computers can have weak processors Tongue

It's obvious your cpu is idle there so retest while running dolphin like I suggested in your last thread.

it does seem to be gradually getting hotter. i still don't understand why that wasn't a problem before though :\

This wasn't my aim. Don't worry.

You must check your temperature while you're playing and getting these slowdowns.

Probably not. As I said this game is very demanding. Use default settings (without any enhancement etc). If it's still slow then there's nothing you can do

this is the hottest it's been and it seems to have stopped increasing in temp.

No but you can post your settings and we'll tell you what has to be eventually changed. Or use another build without changing anything (just to try).

Do you get slowdowns where you didn't before? Does it happen the farther you're in the game? Give us more details.

Btw have you tried with other games?

EDIT: this apparently isn't a heat issue
