First of all I just wanna state that I am running this on a HP-Omen 15 Laptop 2017(since it didn't ask for something like this during registration).
I am getting random frame drops in pretty much every single game. I have tried every single backend and shader combination but it still happens. I only render my games at 720p with no msaa or any other enhancements. Have tried the latest stable release but get the same results. I have been using SSX3 mainly for testing and I have sort of seen a pattern in the frame drops but at the same time not really. (I use the first race event as a test) If I let the game run uncapped I am at more then double the framerate but I still get these random freezes/frame drops for half a sec or a sec even with pre shader caching turned on. The thing is that this doesn't only happen in SSX3, it happens in every single game I try from wii (wii sports resort) to basic gamecube games (LEGO star wars 2). The pattern I sort of see is around new audio being used in the game for the first time. From music to just a new walking sound but I am not entirely 100% about this. I haven't really seen anyone else talk about something like this issue before so I ain't sure its really the audio. Have also tried switching the audio backend and latency but no luck sadly. So I tried to use the log but I didn't really see anything weird (don't really know that much about this stuff). But then I did a test with the frame logger, the one that gives you a list of render times about frames, most of these are the same but some suddenly go to 200+ to go back down the next render frame.

So to sum it up what I have tried:
  • Switch between render backends
  • Switch Audio backends
  • Changed audio latency
  • Changed back to stable dolphin release
  • Switched Shader options

Would very much appreciate any feedback or any tips on this!
