Observe the following:

Notice how the full title of the game "Kirby's Return to Dreamland" is cut off and replaced with an ellipsis. When I click on properties and go to the "Info" tab, I see the following:

However, I cannot change any of the text in the fields that appear for any category; even though a cursor appears, I cannot change the "Name:" of the game. Obviously I'd prefer the entire title of the game to be displayed on the banner instead of the shortened version, but I cannot figure out how to change this text for the life of me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't edit games names like that (not in dolphin anyway, you could with a hexeditor). As to why the name is incomplete... Confused

You can use a titles.txt to rename them without modifying your dump.

Would you mind giving a bit more of a detailed explanation?  I'm not sure where titles.txt is located or exactly how I should be editing it.

Google titles.txt dolphin second hit
(05-27-2015, 01:06 AM)JosJuice Wrote: Dolphin's code for reading Wii names was recently changed to read from opening.bnr (on the disc) instead of banner.bin (in the savefile). In order to edit opening.bnr, you will have to extract it from the game partition, change the names using a hex editor, and then rebuild the ISO. Alternatively, you can create the file C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\titles.txt and type something like this:

Code:
RMGE01 = Super Mario Galaxy
SZBE69 = Rock Band 3

It's because there's a limitation on how long names can be.

The explanation Craftyawesome quoted works, but I think this one explains it a bit better:

Go to the Dolphin Emulator folder in Documents, open the Load folder, and create a file named titles.txt. In it, type something like this:

Code:
RMGE01 = Super Mario Galaxy
SZBE69 = Rock Band 3

Each game has its own line, and the characters before the = are the game ID, which you can see in Dolphin's game properties. For WADs, you need to use only the first four characters of the game ID instead of all six.

Thank you very much, this was extremely helpful.  Now, does anybody know if there's any way to force Dolphin to sort the game list a certain way every time it starts up instead of by whatever criteria it sorts them by default?  For example, I prefer to have my games first sorted by name, then by system type (Gamecube, Wii, Wiiware, etc.) and finally by region.  Is there any way to make Dolphin sort this way as soon as I open it instead of having to click on all three of the column headers every single time?

No, that's not possible as far as I know.
