I know this is probably the most basic of questions, but I need to know how I can record the run I did. I did not have the settings to dump frames while I was making the TAS, but I have the save states.

Basically, I'm playing Brawl messing around and trying to get used to the emulator. I made a save state after I felt that I liked what I did. I then realized after that I didn't know how to save that for later viewing. I assume that there must be a way, because I have seen people discuss their in-progress TASs, but I just don't know how to either view them, or record them.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for being a noob.

Do save states just save that frame, not the frames before it, or is this possible?

Start recording, then manually make a save state. You also need to manually load that save state to play back your movie.

It will automatically make a save state when you start recording, but it doesn't work.
