Howdy,

I was wondering what PC controllers work best for emulators? I was thinking of picking up the XBox controller for PC, but would entertain others if anyone has any suggestions. Cheap but effective is a priority.

Thanks!

Many people use Xbox 360 controllers.
They won't have any issues with triggers/rumble on Dolphin, but other emulators may have issues if they don't support XInput.

I love the Wii Classic Controller but you need a USB hub, not that expensive though and the controller is quite cheap as well. The wiimote+nunchuck is a unique setup but you need to configure to get bluetooth at perfect connection to get it to work.

I also have a PS controller for PS emulators, I like to stick with the intended controller for the right console. Smile
Q9550 @ 2.8GHz, GTX470, 4GB 800MHz, Win7 64-bit, Intel 320 SSD 120GB

Current build: 3.0 64-bit
Current game(s): Metroid Prime 3 Corruption (random testing from time to time to see if any tweaks will help).

I use a PS3 controller wirelessly through bluetooth.

I've always loved the PS controller and the tilt function works great with Dolphin too Smile

Thanks for the advice people. I went out and bought a cheap Logitech dual analog controller that is set up much like the Wii classic controller, but I'm having issue setting it up to play Twilight Princess... =(

No, I don't have the Wiimote, but the controller I have now is almost identical to the Wii "classic controller". The issue I'm having is configuring the keys to work in Zelda: TP, without having to use the mouse/keyboard. Any suggestions are welcome. Here's how it's currently configured.

What's the problem with your current controller configuration?

I dunno, that's why I was asking, lol Angel

I'd like to have it set up so I can play the title exclusively with the said "classic controller". Is that even possible? Currently, I can't even fish... Big Grin

I had no problems with xbox360 controller or dualshock3 (besides wiimotes).

Just couldn't get the motion sensor to work on the ds3 but maybe it's possible with the right drivers/tweaks.
