Okay it looks like my ASUS laptop is toast and warranty will replace it. I think I'll have a Best buy store credit of 1000-1200 USD. I am looking for an ASUS brand gaming rig, preferably laptop, that will run Dolphin and PCSX2 without any issues. Specifically, I really want to know what the best processor is, in order to base my purchase off of that. I want to run all properly optimized GC, Wii, and PS2 games at full speed.

Yeah, but the Asus laptop I mentionned will do the job very well. It has a excellent cooling system.

Yes he will get good performance but probably not as much as he would like to. Depends which games he'll be planning to play...
