So I'm trying to play Mario Kart Wii on dolphin and I have fixed all bindings etc so I can play with my Wii U controller. (Currently using nunchuck as extension in the controller settings since it only gets recognized by it for some reason) But when I try to wheelie in the game it doesn't always work. But the game won't recognize my controller if I put the emulated wiimote on "Classic". In Mario Kart Wii you have to shake your controller if you are using the extension nunchuck to perform a wheelie. And I think this is the reason why the wheelies always don't work for me. So if you know how I can make dolphin/mario kart recognize my wii u controller as a classic controller, please help me.

When you say that the game doesn't recognize your controller if you set the extension to Classic, do you mean that it shows a message that the controller isn't connected or that none of the buttons work?

I get the message that the controller isn't connected.

I have not changed really anything in dolphin. The bindings I fixed for my wii u controller were changed from a program called "WiinUPro". Though This is how it looks from a screenshot perspective.. https://gyazo.com/48f9a835aacf016ea48133ad83b04f33

Have you tried configuring it as a GC controller instead?

The "normal" setting for GameCube controllers is listed as Standard Controller.
