My typical method of connecting 1 wiimote was to first press 1 and 2, then "pair up". Then it goes through the whole connecting thing. (has to install drivers each time) This fails 1-5 times then it says success. Nothing happens in dolphin at this point. Now I have to close dolphin (3.0) and restart it and then go into wiimote and select refresh. Sometimes I have to shut it down and restart it more than once.

Now that I have 2 wiimotes, I am spending 15-30 minutes each time I want to play to get them both paired.

Is there an easier way that I am missing. Or is there a way to make them just stay "paired" aside from leaving them on constantly? Am I turning them off wrong by using the power button on the wiimote??

I can't find anyone else complaining about this, which leads me to believe that noone else is having this problem and I'm just doing something stupid.

I hav e the same thing i think its just how the bluetooth connection work, even though they show up in devices, they should reinstall from scratch every time they turn off or batteries go dead or I reboot my comp. I have to take the batteries out and put it back in and have it rediscover again if I want to play the next day. Anothe r option I prefer is just to leave the dolphin window open and leave the remote on. Just the blue light is on. Make sure it doesnt press any of the buttons and you will be fine for 3 days.

I'm not having any problems connecting my Wiimote to my system. It's strange that it takes several tries before it connects correctly. Mine connects on the first time, everytime. What stack are you using? What brand of BT adapter?
Yes, you have to "reinstall" it everytime you power your system back up, but if you want, leave you just system and controller on.
